It looks like they're gonna start using blood as a storytelling element after watching this match, which is a nice change of pace. The Extreme Rules match between these two is gonna be incredible, what a match.
How in the hell did he draw blood? Was it the headbutts or something? The camera was on him the whole time during that spot.

I'm on board as long as it's strictly kept either hardway (accidental) or, as you stated, a storytelling device. Blood can be very powerful in this medium if done correctly. You also have to be sure to keep workers and anyone else involved safe with gloves and semi-frequent blood tests. There IS a happy middle ground between things like That Eddie match or CZW/ECW and what Nigel is preaching now.

I've mixed feelings on this, really. Glad that the era of blading has gone to the side and hopefully it'll be an industry standard from hereon. Whilst I'm also happy that they're not going so strict on hardway, stopping the match and interrupting a flow and whatnot, I do worry that a relaxed policy with result in lads doing silly stuff to draw the crimson mask naturally.

I don't know. The main issue I have is like, they last used blood on the pay per view, and one of the issues with TNA is they just used it all the time.
They need to use it sparingly. Make it mean something. It does now, but now that it seems to be ok, they shouldn't go crazy with it. If it's blading of course.

Without sounding like a bloodthirsty maniac, Im pleased if they do go down this road.
As well as the ending to Brock/Reigns on Sunday, the segment where Orton got kicked out of the Authority last year really benefited from "a bit of colour". Also this would mean Cage matches and Cell matches actually have a point to them once again.
Obviously I hope it doesn't go back to the Attitude era where people were bleeding in almost every main event and every Raw, but it certainly benefits matches and stories every once in a while (with the correct safety procedures of course!)

This wouldn't count towards that stupid IC curse, right? World of difference between "Losing by countout because of outside interference knocking you literally bloody senseless" and "Losing clean by pinfall to Sin Cara".

I like the idea of blood being utilized more, as long as they keep it pretty infrequent. Nobody wants them going back to the days of somebody blading every week, but when you don't see it very often something like a trickle of blood running out of someones mouth can really sell a moment

f*** that. If you blade in 2015 you are an idiot. Seeing some info on some of the news sites saying that it wasn't a blade job here... Bryan just got caught with a shot and he needed seven stitches to close if up.

It makes me happy how much the general attitude towards blading and chairshots to the head has changed in the last 5 years.

Bleeding is a necessary storytelling tool in Wrestling.
Blading is a barbaric outdated craft.
For God sakes just use fake blood.

There was a pic of Bryan and his pup on Brie's Instagram where he has a huge wound down the middle of his forehead, I was wondering where it came from. Nasty looking even cleaned up.

Count me in as another blood thirsty psycho but growing up watching grudge match feuds pay off with a bloody match, the sight of blood automatically will illicit a much more powerful reaction. Blood automatically brings realistic legitimacy to a match. But it must not be overused or the novelty is ruined.

I know that sometimes things happen, but there's absolutely zero reason for anyone to plan to bleed for a fake fight. The risks are too great.

Newz is going around that Sheamus is getting criticized for working the match a bit too stiff.
