The public answer is due to scheduling conflicts is the reason why Dragon Gate and DGUSA are not working with each other. The info I got from puroresu forums and sites (ones who actually break scoops on things concerning companies besides NJPW unlike Western websites) is the relationship is over due to money issues and booking philosophy disagreements. Dragon Gate was looking to establish a foothold in the North Amercian market and bring in talent for their main shows. Since DG worked with Gabe before and both had beef with ROH at the time, DGUSA was born. It worked out for a while until Dragon Gate notice the quality of performers brought in weren't up to the standards they were looking for. Out of all the talent on the DGUSA roster at the time, all they took were Rich Swann, Uhaa Nation, and Ricochet. Factor in the DGUSA shows weren't box office successes which in turn made the money promised smaller. Add problems with establishing work visas and you got problems. As time went along, DG stopped sending in as many folks as they used to. Towards the end, DGUSA shows had no Japanese talent on the cards. Total Nonstop Gargano. Faction wars that weren't connected with DGUSA. The last couple of official shows had lower tier DG guys who already had working visas along with rookies that they wanted to get some overseas experience. The reason why you are seeing an increase of EVOLVE shows is because DG is done with DGUSA. Gargano lost the Open the Freedom Gate title to Drew Galloway so it can quietly get retired. If you really went an answer from a US source, PWInsider in one of their Q&A this week basically said DGUSA is done. I am aware of all this but you said they no longer want to do business with Gabe. That's not the case and you haven't offered anything from the Dragon Gate side on the matter. Besides the fact that Dragon Gate makes no mentions or links of DGUSA on their official Japanese website, DGUSA last ran an official show over a year ago in 2014, and the DGUSA titles are virtually nonexistent currently; what other further proof you need? A handwritten note from CIMA saying Gabe is a bitch ass bitch and the deal is off? I mentioned the places I get my info from. Maybe I should just say "inside sources" and leave it at. I trust where I get my info from way more than anything Meltzer or any other journalists. They break more stories about purosesu while folks still stuck on NJPW.

is it also fair to mention the wrestlers from the Philly area that have felt disappointed in what Gabe has promised them and what has actually happened?

So in short no one has actually reported that Dragon Gate doesn't want to do business with Gabe. Gabe in his PWInsider interview said both offices are willing to work with each other in the future and there was no heat. is it also fair to mention the wrestlers from the Philly area that have felt disappointed in what Gabe has promised them and what has actually happened? I don't carry water for Gabe. I believe that. The talk about the China connection was pretty intense/ambitious for a while. Even personally speaking I thought there would several WWN China 2015 tours by this point.

Gabe says a lot of things though that have proven to be not so true.

Gabe says a lot of things though that have proven to be not so true. And I am simply looking for proof about this Dragon Gate thing. And everyone knows wrestling promoters never lie. The prove this Dragon Gate thing then. I never said otherwise.

I mean some of it is common sense dude. They haven't worked together, US wrestlers have been openly critical about Gabe not delivering on things. It's also been no secret that DG have not been impressed by Gabe's booking recently or his choice in wrestlers

I know a lot of people involved with EVOLVE as well as most of the biggest DG fans/reviewers online and I honestly never heard that Dragon Gate wants nothing to with Gabe. I was one of first people that I know of to know about the WWN China deal. I honestly don't know what was more privileged information than that. I asked others extensively at time had they heard anything as I felt it was "too good to be true" and no one else knew anything when I first asked.

It's also been no secret that DG have not been impressed by Gabe's booking recently or his choice in wrestlers It isn't common sense and you are ignoring other factors that I listed on the previous page. Dragon Gate is extremely busy with national touring so getting available dates is difficult and the cost of flights have shot up to a cost prohibitory degree. It isn't like PWG or another promotion is bringing DG talent over. Isn't like Mark Sloan is doing DG-UK shows either - I know there's several reasons for that but still. I'd rather operate on on the record facts than faulty common sense assumptions.

That's lovely you can namedrop and feel important about knowing about the WWN China but I already said what I'm going to say. My inside sources thing isn't true. Like I give a damn about being a wrestling insider.

My inside sources thing isn't true. Obviously. You forget the part of like I like give a damn about being a "wrestling insider". Now excuse me, I got a hot tip about what Shingo will be eating for dinner. Rumors has it will be shrimp ramen though my sources say spicy chicken curry.

To try and bring the thread back to the original discussion with Gabe, I do not think he's a bad guy or anything like that. I think he's just been trying to hard to catch lightening in a bottle doing similar things in WWN that he did with ROH and it hasn't worked because he isn't getting people of the same skill level.
And the other issue Gabe is experiencing is that he was a bit of a dick to a bunch of "nobodies" back when he was booking ROH and now those nobodies are guys that are some of the bigger names on the indies, and there's bad blood because of that.
