Been meaning to make a thread about him for a couple of weeks now
Does anyone else think he has done a really good job with the transition? He was a great host at Axxess and at the SJSU show when I was there live, really getting the crowd into it and being damn enthusiastic about the product. On commentating he shows personality but yet he doesn't take away from the match and sometimes says some really clever things about the wrestlers in the ring as far as ring psychology goes.
Anyone else on his bandwagon as a commentator/host?

Yeah he started out a little rocky but he has fallen well into his place as a commentator.

It's also sort of refreshing to see a commentator who doesn't look like a typical commentator.

I'm a fan. He kind of reminds of diet CM Punk, which considering his look is appropriate. He's entertaining, but not to the point where he kind of takes all the focus away from a match. Not to mention he provides some decent insight as well.
I gotta say though he looks kind of ridiculous when he's wearing his glasses.

The only thing I don't like, and this applies to any former wrestler, including Josh Barnett who is probably my favorite commentator going, is when he says something like "Well he should have done this..." It really pisses me off cause it's usually something that every pro wrestler alive does including himself.

What does he do at NXT shows? He is always there running around like a chicken with his head cut off, so I figure he helps to run the show in some capacity, just didn't know what his full time job was exactly.

I like him. I didn't start watching NXT until the first Network special, so commentary has been my only experience with him. What I love most is that he says heelish things occasionally, but he never does so in an obnoxious way that just insults the talent.

Graves should be higher up the pecking order than Saxton.

I enjoy him. I never saw him wrestle, but on commentary, and on the panel he's very insightful.

He's actually really good at it. He's should be on the main team once a position opens up

I'm a fan. He kind of reminds of diet CM Punk, which considering his look is appropriate. That was pretty much his gimmick in the Indies. It all goes back to an angle from 2004 where Punk was his protégé. (Yes, you read that right.) Before that, he fluctuated between "talented skinny guy" and "talent skinny guy, now with title belt."

Yeah, count me as a fan. Riley was insufferable, Tensai is a moron but Graves nails it and really adds to a lot of matches.

It is, but it is often pretty hypocritical of the commentator. For example, I guarentee I could find many examples of Corey not hooking the leg, especially early in the match when a pin is to wear the opponent down and not win.

He's great at it and honestly I think he has potential to be a great manager in the future if he feels.

I've been a supporter since day 1. He has a great speaking voice, I've said before at times the sounds of his voice and the way he delivers lines is just like Punk, and I think he cleans up well in a suit with glasses.
He was shaky at first, but honestly who wouldn't be? He found his footing very quickly and learned to pace his comments. I enjoy the commentating on NXT now. I think him and Renee Young would have great chemistry as a two person announce team. But him and 'whoever the f***' (LK) that did it this past week are a decent team as well.

He is currently the best announcer they have employed.

My favorite announcer. He's just perfect for it. He's also really handsome so that's a plus.

Yeah count me in as a fan of the guy.
Like someone already said, love his irrational hatred so to speak of Becky Lynch. Would be something he could have going forward with some main roster guys similar to Jesse going on and on about Hogan and his cheating. That kinda thing.
Like the wrestlers, let him stay in NXT and really get good at what he's doing and he could be a mainstay in the main announcers booth for years.
