The mullet is not past the neck, which means we're in for a long winter.

Conor McDavid is out for the game. Why do I even bother being a Oilers fan

Todd McLellan says McDavid is "out long term" with an upper-body injury.

Well the oilers can never win a Calder can they? And f*** this hard so much. At least Draisatil can keep me excited at least. Already one point shy from tying up his point total last season. But if McDavid is injured and needs surgery f*** it give him the season ending surgery since this is a lost season most likely and McDavid can qualify for the Calder next season

Honestly a broken clavicle is better than any torn shoulder or ligament damage. Patrick Kane had one last year and missed 20 games and made it in the time for the playoffs and was a big contributor

Plus you ain't a Oiler unless you have a surgically repaired shoulder (Hall, Horcoff, Hemsky, Nuge, Eberle, Jason Smith, Souray, Moreau, Peckham, etc) That's just top of my head

To be honest, I was a bit worried about his knee/head as well as the shoulder initially(his knee kinda buckled when he appeared to hit a rut in the ice, and we all saw the impact) so in the grand scheme this is probably the "best" we could ask for.

The O/U for tonight's Chicago/New Jersey game was 5.
They went over, yet it was the Devils winning 4-2.
...Unexpected, yet welcome.

Couldn't keep the clean sheet, but Raanta holds on for 59:55 of shutout hockey.
