The greatest words in sports. The oilers despite their starting goalie being out and having to play with a backup they forced a game 7 in Flair country.
Lets go Oilers beat those 'Canes like a red headed step child.

Even though we all know that the Canadians are now torturers (long story, read up on the terrorists trying to behead your prime minister!), I loved their patriotism (and ethnocentrism... my GOD you guys blame America for being full of pride...) and the singing of their National Anthem. If only Americans had that kind of patriotism anymore... damn socialist movements...

Agreed, probably the best part of the playoffs for me so far (other than the exciting play and the fact that you could put together a great team of former blues players from both rosters, damnit) has been the singing of O, Canada. I guaran-damn-tee you that you couldn't put together that many Americans that could sing the SSB with that much volume and passion...even if the main reason its being done is to stick it to the US.

As a socialist myself I'd like to point out that there isn't any notable socialist movements active in the United States, so don't blame us.
Thank you.

I'm under the theory that hockey is too exciting and that is why most Americans don't watch it. From this series I have enough proof.

I'm under the theory that hockey is too exciting and that is why most Americans don't watch it. From this series I have enough proof. I dont think so. Im American and I like hockey a lot, watch it all the time. But I wouldnt watch it over football or basketball, maybe baseball, depending on whos playing.

No.....It really translates badly to Television. If you can watch it in HD...its better, but its the one sport that you really have to be there live (or watch with knowedgeable fans) to truly develop an appreciation for it.....then I think you can watch on TV and understand.
