I don't even remember half of them. Same with Orton and Cena.

Most of them lasted like 3 weeks. It's understandable if you don't remember any.

I always thought that it was ironic that Edge won so many world titles in such a short span, because before he won his first world title, his gimmick was a guy who had never been world champion, complained about it, and complained about never getting a shot at the title.
Plus, also, it's funny because when he was feuding with Flair in January 2006, he insulted Flair for winning 16 world titles, and said that "I'll have a world title reign that outlasts ALL of your 16 title wins!" And little did Edge know...he became exactly like Flair.

Yes. Four WWE Championship wins. Seven World Heavyweight Championship wins. He retired as World Heavyweight Champion. Out of all his championship wins/losses, the dumbest angle they ever did was have him lose the championship to Ziggler due to using the Spear, which was banned in storyline. Ziggler was awarded the championship after the fact, but lost it right back to Edge soon after.

Let's see off the top of my head:
1. Beat Cena with MITB 2. Beat RVD/Cena when RVD got suspended 3. Cashed in on Undertaker 4. Won in a triple threat against Undertaker/Batista 5. Beat Taker in a TLC match for vacant title 6. Beat Triple H/Kozlov at Survivor Series 7. Beat Jeff Hardy at Royal Rumble 8. Won Elimination Chamber 9. Beat Cena in Last Man Standing match 10. Won from Kane in a fatal four way TLC Match 11. Beat Dolph Ziggler after Vickie gave him the title
I had no recollection of #5 ever happening.

I can honestly only remember 3 title reigns by Edge off top. Those 3 are when he first won the title, when he got it back from RVD in that triple threat and then that reign he had before he retired. All the others just aren't there in my mind.

The guy never really had that decent reign, just a lot of little ones. It's not that impressive when you look at them in detail.
IMO I still say they screwed up huge not letting him walk into Mania 22 as champion. But you know... Triple H...

People always talk about multiple reigns, well what would you rather have if you had the choice.
One reign that lasts 8 months, Or eight reigns that last 1 month?

Valid reason was the brand split, and 2 world titles, were a bad idea over time.
I barely remember any of his reigns

I think that if Edge hadn't suddenly retired he would have hit/surpassed 16 buy 2013 , because mind you at the tie he already had waay more "reigns" than Cena or Orton had.

The only world title win of his that I really remember is his cash in against Cena.
It's sad that I can only remember 1 world title win of Edge's, but I remember both times Christian won it.
Dare I say Christian's 1st reign was more memorable than any of Edge's 11 (for all the wrong reasons, so I digress. But still, the joy everyone felt when he won it and the anger everyone felt when he lost it, all in the span of 2 days. You don't forget that. I remember lurking here and the Smackdown thread had like 80 pages before it even aired)

Ya know, in retrospect, the argument against him for winning all those titles in a short span kinda gets canceled out by him being forced to retire so early.

Yes. Prior to winning the World Heavyweight Championship via cashing-in Money in the Bank on Raw the night after WrestleMania 29, Ziggler first became World Heavyweight Champion when his girlfriend and acting-General Manager of SmackDown, Vickie Guerrero, stripped Edge of the title and awarded it to Ziggler. Edge was stripped because he used the Spear on Ziggler, which Guerrero had banned.

He probably would have had a longer title reign if he hadn't got injured in 2007 by Kane.
Also, his jump from WWE champ to World champ should totally not count as a title loss because of how ingenious it was.

Didn't he get suspended, along with a bunch of others, around 2007ish?
