Big Show turning heel and helping Laurinaitis beat John Cena at Over the Limit 2012. you are mistaken that was the twist no one saw coming. I was even more surprised a few weeks later when Cena actually lifted Big Show for an AA.

Daniel Bryan beating HHH, then winning the title at WrestleMania 30 wasn't much of a surprise.

That time Lex Luger turned on Sting. Unlike those shocking times that Ric Flair turned on Sting.

Kane leaving KOTR '98 with the title. "I'm going to light myself on fire if I don't win" is pretty much the definition of booking your main event into a corner. That and wasn't it a First Blood match? And Kane had, what, just his left hand bare? I forget if he had the two sleeves or just the one at the time, but he had an absurd advantage in having a leather mask to protect his face. That said, in regards to this thread, sometimes predictable is a good thing, if it's logical. While short lived, the booking of Backlash in 2000 was pretty obviously leading to Rock winning the title off of Triple H, but that was what fans wanted, and there was still the question of if Triple H could Houdini his way out of another title match as he had been doing. As Lance Storm has said, you know Christmas comes every December 25th but you still get excited about it.

Any feud HHH is in = HHH wins. Except against Daniel Bryan, Kane, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, John Cena, Batista, and others I'm sure. But hey, it's 2015 and HHHate is still cool! Meh, in most of those feuds, HHH followed it up with the typical "I lost the battle but won the war" bullshit. He was back to calling Daniel Bryan a B+ player even after losing to him.

Any outcome of any Ultimate Warrior match post-WM6.
It was just too obvious he would never be booked to look vulnerable or in any risk to lose clean to anyone. Unlike Hogan, I never found myself in doubt that he'd eventually no-sell everything and we'd be back to his rambling promos about who-knows-what.

And your point? He still did clean jobs to end feuds. People remember the matches more than random promos on Raw. Jericho still insulted Triple H and Stephanie even after losing to Triple H. The Rock still insulted people he lost to.

Daniel Bryan beating HHH, then winning the title at WrestleMania 30 wasn't much of a surprise. D-bry beating HHH was never in question but, with WWE's mindset (stubbornness), I thought that the title match could have went another way.

When it was revealed that Ted Dibiasie Jr.'s surprise partner in his tag team title match against current champs Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes was, in fact, Cody Rhodes.

Daniel Bryan beating HHH, then winning the title at WrestleMania 30 wasn't much of a surprise. But it wasn't intended to be a surprise. The idea of a payoff is that you have to pay and give the audience what they want to make them happy. Much like Sting/Hogan at Starcade and the Authority vs Team Cena at Survivor Series, you know the outcome and that is what you are paying to see.

The last few Royal Rumbles outside the Cena and Edge returns. Actually I thought Edge's return was quite predictable (in a good way). Sheamus and Del Rio winning were more surprising to me. When it was revealed that Ted Dibiasie Jr.'s surprise partner in his tag team title match against current champs Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes was, in fact, Cody Rhodes. Cody turning heel and siding with DiBiase was expected but most people thought the mystery partner would be DH Smith.

Edge returning in that Rumble was a given. It was whether he would win the thing, or just end up eliminating Jericho and falling short (possibly a double elimination), that was in question.

And to himself...you mean he didn't roll into the ring and tap himself out at WMXX? Seriously, no LOLCENAWINS comments too?
