Yes, hard as it may seem to believe now, there was once a forlorn time seemingly long ago when the IWC, including FAN, were on fire for the trio of Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Madison Rayne. The KO pics thread was perpetually flooded with images and gifs of these three, there was buzz of Angelina being "the next Trish Stratus," and it seemed that there was no way but up for them to go. And, much like Bray Wyatt losing to John Cena, the death blow of their momentum can be traced to a single event: Agenlina's green card troubles. It totally derailed her at a time whens he had everything going for her, and completely disrupted the chemistry of the group. Velvet and Madison weren't ready to stand on their own without her, and bringing in Lacey Von Erich was truly a poor substitute. By the time Angelina had her legal woes sorted out, the KO division was already starting to enter a state of decline-and she has been a shadow of her former self ever since. So let us take a moment to remember when the Beautiful People ruled the world.

I always would think of this whenever they'd come out.
I enjoyed them (and the whole KO division) a lot when it started. Hell, I even enjoyed the Winter storyline, but by 2010ish TNA itself was declining rapidly.
I don't think Velvet is as bad as people make her out to be.

I really can't believe a time like that existed. They were always a terrible act in my eyes.
They were at their best when they had Cute Kip.

Three of the worst females in wrestling. The moment they were made the front and center of it was the beginning of the KOs decline into the mess it is now.
Forget girls who are multi talented and skilled with standout characters, let's have those who are the very thing that the division stood against.

What's sad is, they were legit one of the hottest acts (not just physically but business wise too) in the company.
Then...I don't know. They just lost their luster after a while and became just another trio of girls that really wasn't special like literally every other big act TNA has ever had.

I still think Velvet is hot. Angelina got way too skinny and her lips look like they've had work done.

That was in 2008, which was seven years ago. Since then, Angelina has had more plastic surgery than I ever care to know and has totally regressed in the ring. Velvet still has some looks, but was abysmal in the ring back then and shown no improvement within that time. The only one to really reinvent themselves since that time is Madison Rayne, and even then, she's not exactly a ring general either. The Beautiful People act was fresh back then, but it is at Alberto Del Rio 2014 levels of stale now.

I actually had to google her to make sure that's what Angelina Love used to look like. If you put that picture next to a current picture of her and said that was the same person, people would call the insane asylum to take you away. I don't know what happened to her during and after her visa issues but it's really sad.

Yeah they were great...7 years ago. Outside maybe the Horsemen, no stable stays fresh for almost a decade.

Always loved Velvet and still do. Angelina went from meh to repugnant to me now. Madison has gotten too skinny for my taste too now.

I could never stand them, once that music started that was my cue for a piss break or flip to another channel altogether

I think all 3 had decent moments since especially after Angelina's visa issues. I do think the reunion came off as really forced though

I remember in 2008, they were great heels, obviously a parody of divas and sexualised bitch barbie characters. Then Hogan and Bischoff didn't get the point, making them literally the entire division in strip matches, strap matches, etc.
It's sad how in 2009, things looked so bright.

I am always in favour of any team that gets over and isn't unsafe in the ring, honestly, and they did.

For my own part, I loved the BP way back. The three of them worked their shapely asses off to get over with the audience-and they did. I have said before and shall now repeat that the promo where Angelina was feuding with Tara and came out in a pink beekeeper outfit remains a favorite of mine. Sure, it was cartoony and over the top-but that was the whole point, to be entertaining! And Angelina sold it like no one else could have. But I've long gotten the impression that she never regained her full passion for it after her visa issues; for starters, she apparently did try to get her foot back in the door with WWE, only to get shot down-that must have been disheartening after all the praise she had been drawing in TNA. And by her own description, when she finally got things sorted out and came back to TNA she was rather hurt by the way all the other women had aggressively jumped into fill void and were't willing to share the spotlight with her again. And it definitely deflated the BP as an act, because neither Velvet nor Madison were ready yet to carry the whole act on their own. And, as others have pointed out, you can only do a reunion of a particular faction so many times before it gets old. The whole situation has become a sad, self defeating cycle on both sides; the BP would probably be better off going the route of AJ, Daniels, and Joe by looking to greener pastures-even if those options are fewer and further between, and TNA would probably be better served putting their paychecks to other uses.

I remember that so clearly. Almost everyone was singing their praises. They were the second coming for the IWC. I never thought they were that great and everytime I saw them I thought of how the WWE presented the Divas and these ladies were supposed to be the opposite of them. Yet I thought they were pretty much the same.
