Extreme Rules will feature professional wrestling matches that involve wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on WWE's primary television programs, Raw and SmackDown. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.
WrestleMania 32 will feature professional wrestling matches that involve wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on WWE television. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.
Anyone else bored of reading this on just about every WWE PPV Wiki page?

Yes, but as an encyclopaedia every Wiki page needs to be written from the standpoint that the person reading is completely uniformed about the subject.

I swear, in about 2009 or so, some smug asshole edited almost every wrestling related page on Wikipedia to be like this.
"Jake The Snake Roberts, who portrayed a wrestler that would carry a snake to the ring, an elongated carnivorous reptile, and had a moustache, a type of facial hair grown on the top lip, often with military connotations, would often use a DDT, a head lock drop, to win his matches. Matches being structured battles between two opponents of a similar skill set to determine the better competitor. Although pro wrestling matches are predetermined and scripted to provide quality entertainment on television, which was invented in the 1950s etc... "

Imagine if they did this with movies or TV shows.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron will feature edited scenes that involve actors that portray heroes or villains.

I don't get it, are you suggesting this wrestling deal might not be strictly on the level?

Reminds me of 2005-2006 when Wikipedia first started locking pages because of vandalism. I remember people were putting in made up reasons for Randy Orton's 2006 suspension such as trying to flush Paul London down the toilet and for enjoying being soaped up by JBL.

They used to be a lot more obnoxious than that.
That's just one skippable paragraph in the OP.
Used to be for example:
"Roman Reigns (Real name Joe Anoa'i) was scheduled to wrestle in a scripted preplanned match with a predetermined outcome using professionally worked preplanned wrestling moves that the participants agreed to use in advance in order to further a scripted preplanned written storyline by WWE writers in the main event (a match scheduled to go on last at an event that has been decided on in advance will draw the most crowds in this scripted event) against Brock Lesnar (Real name Brock Lesnar).

They also locked Alberto Del Rio's page because people kept making up ridiculous explanations for why he got released. My favorite was the one that said he was arrested for trying to rob Daniel Bryan's house wearing a Chris Benoit mask and saying he did it for The Rock.

You forgot that every 2nd word is linked to another WikiPedia article that is more often than not totally unrelated to the topic at hand
