No, they're not. WWE already has 3 of these against them with little to no chance of success and there is absolutely nothing showing that WWE hid the dangers of concussions from anyone.

True - but is it possible that certain plaintiffs may argue that WWE and TimeWarner (as WCW's parent company prior to 2001) had a duty of care to its talent re prevention of concussions and failed to intervene with those talents whose movesets were more likely to result in concussions? IANAL, but I felt that this was an interesting development given both the amounts involved in the settlement and the possible precedent set.

IANAL, but I felt that this was an interesting development given both the amounts involved in the settlement and the possible precedent set. Again though, the NFL knew what concussion could do and actively hid it from the players, prevented proper protection and care from being given, that is why we're seeing this happen. There is absolutely no proof that in the 80s, 90s and early 00s that WWE (and any of the promoters really) knew the damage concussions could do in the long term and prevented protective measures from being taken or given proper care. It wasn't until Nowinski's career ended because of head injuries did concussions and wrestling start getting studied and until Benoit that it was accepted. The NFL had 20 years of actively hiding things, publishing counter studies they knew were false and ignored. On top of all that, there is no way to prove WWE or Turner or any promoter is responsible for this unless there is an amazing amount of paperwork done. WWE can say Big Vito (who is suing them over concussions) spent a decade outside of WWE and there is no proof that any of his injuries came from his time there unless he has proof otherwise. Basically anyone that had a career working for more than one company has an uphill battle to show who the injuries occurred with, that they knew it was bad and covered it up.
