Kane could be putting on five star classics every night - though he sure as f*** isn't - and I wouldn't care at this point. The second I hear his music I am just done with a show.

I enjoy his current storyline, a man torn between the job he clearly values because it makes him feel like a normal person and the desire to destroy that obnoxious little shit Rollins and unleash his inner monster.

As shown by his late 2000's feud with Taker, and his unmasking in 2003 he is quite capable of being good.
He is also capable of being used as a characterless tall guy. His level of sucking seems to be 100% on the writers.

I've no idea why people suggest putting Harper in Kane's place.
Kane loses ALL the time, but he's Kane so it doesn't hurt him. Having Harper there would in my opinion hurt him even more than the poor booking he receives currently.
Plus Kane's been awesome recently with the Rollins stuff. Great character work- don't see Harper pulling it off.

i can take him in this corporate role forever, as long as he never ever EVER has another match.

Well he's certainly being a bit more interesting than Big Show at the moment.

And if you don't think Harper can pull off greater character work, you have ignored him for his entire career.

In the context of Luke Harpers character- no I don't see how he would have performed the role Kane has been. Not to say the performer couldn't do character work but Kane's been a good fit for the angle they are doing with Rollins.

I still fail to see how Kane has been "awesome" at all in this angle. All I've seen is a guy about ten years past his prime taking up too much screen time. I actually missed the ending to Orton/Rollins because I walked out after they had Kane standing tall over the ones I actually came to see. Made no sense, other than keeping Kane strong.

Helped now they've given him something to actually do, not just fill out a suit. I'm a Kane fan through and through, but it's never much fun when he's completely directionless.

Also, he split his pants last night, totally took away from the ending.

I've gone from hating him to loving him within weeks because they've finally let him be the gigantic grumpy uncle that he was meant to be at this point in his career.

I'm starting to enjoy Kane and Big Show again, I guess it's because "The Local Men" nickname is hilarious and one of the best things these boards have ever come up with!
