So Jon Jones is the 90's Shawn Michaels of UFC? Lol I think it's worse, hbk at least kept his much of his problems away from the press, also Jones already considers himself a religious person but still gets into trouble.

Remember when Bones said he was the guy in highschool who dimed on the potheads?
Or this beauty from Bones "You never have to worry about me with a DWI or doing something crazy"?
This guy is an assclown

He has lost deals Reebok and Nike just this year. He's costing himself a lot of money due to bad judgment. Put that with the lost title and and suspension, this punishment is much further than I expected him to get. I'm pretty sure Dana has his back behind the scenes but his public perception right now is horrid.

Lord in heaven. It's Rampage all over again. At least there wasn't a miscarriage this time. I smell a potential miscarriage...of justice! Hopefully he doesn't get off lightly.

It's probably not the right thing for me to even be thinking about at this stage considering how absolutely scummy he has been behaving, but having an unbeaten (except for a DQ) and some say unbeatable world champ stripped of the title sets up a huge return match somewhere down the road if he can pull his shit together.

Of course that's smart markerting which i'm sure UFC has thought about it. Before you cross that line he has to be taken off the hook though for what happened. He will eventually fight again, as I see them not "throwing the book" at him as far as the accident goes. Some probation, community service and hefty fine. The pregnant will be advised to sue him and that will be settled out of court as well. UFC has problem with Jones because now two big sponsers in Reebok and Nike has dropped him. Will Reebok give him another deal, probably but not at the money he would of made.

Losing his title, suspended indefinitely, losing his sponsorships. If that doesn't help this guy wake up and seek help, nothing will.

If he were suspended for, let's say a year, it would set up his return at UFC 200.

Remember how Jones was a plucky upstart superhero who ran down a mugger the day he was fighting Shogun for the belt?
Then he won the belt.
The Gold changes a man...

Dana with some strong comments about Jones. I'm paraphrasing but basically he said we gave him a lot of chances and this was his lost. Interesting to hear coming from him but i'm glad to see him be firm in his stance despite what Jon means to the UFC.

Dana always has fire and brimstone speeches for dudes he's pissed at though. Look at the immediate aftermath of the GSP deal.

So we're going to find out the LHW title is part Arkenstone? Would make sense, has been kind of a curse. Chuck wins, gradually turns into a Nyquil zombie and loses his chin. Rampage wins, loses, and goes on a high speed chase in a monster truck with his face on it, causing a lady to miscarry. Forrest wins and seems ok, goes on to suffer the worst losses of his career. Rashad Wins, gets kinda cocky, but goes on to lose amusingly to Machida. Machida era immediately tarnished by win over Shogun, then killed by loss to Shogun. Shogun turns into immobile zombie puncher. Then Jones. It's sort of like a Madden cover.

Ken Shamrock has written an open letter to Jon Jones. I thought he was going to tear him apart, but it's actually sweet and kind. Here it is: Hi Jon: Few others can understand the enticement of the lust of life when the world says “yes” to your every desire. At these times, anything you want is at your fingertips: free meals, expensive gifts, amazing opportunities, big sponsorships, money, girls, and just about every desire being met on demand. One day, everything changes. Speaking from experience, the decisions we make eventually catches up to us. These consequences, from the seeds that we have sown, are very real and seldom easy to deal with. Fame is often a road paved with heartbreak. It’s a black hole that has the ability to engulf a distracted soul. Unfortunately, you must sleep in the bed that you made. You did this to yourself, and you have issues that need to be dealt with. It’s important that you understand that all your troubles today are a bi-product of your actions. Once you truly understand this, then you can begin to heal what has been broken and move forward once again. Jon, you are a true champion who has accomplished heights that few others will ever reach. Use your same internal strengths and determination that helped you become a world champion to fight though this hard season and yourself. Your next fight is with yourself. Ironically, a documentary film is soon (June) to be released about me called The Greatest Fight. The greatest fight was ultimately with myself. I lived through the hardships that my actions caused me and hope others can learn from my past mistakes. The lust of the flesh (i.e. fame, money, sex, and drugs) blinded me and the bottom had to drop out before I could see clearly, rebuild, and rise up once again. Jon, do NOT give up on yourself. You have risen to amazing levels in your career, and your fans need to see you learn from your mistakes and rise above them. It’s time to re-focus where focus has been lost. It’s very important that you get back to the your strong faith in Christ and allow Him to be your strength and guiding light though this season and beyond. Let this be a beginning of a testimony to help others. Although your fate is in your hands and no one else’s, I encourage you to draw close to those who are strongest in your circles and allow them to help you, too. This is not the end, but your beginning. Fight the fight. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the woman in the accident for a speedy recovery. God bless, Ken Shamrock www.mmaweekly.com/ufc-hall-of...r-to-jon-jones
