Has anyone played this thing? Holy crap, I thought I'd give it a whirl, and now I've spent every ounce of my free time for the last week playing it. I just got a PS4 with Shadow of Mordor, WWE2K15, and Mortal Kombat X and I haven't touched it since like the first day I had it cuz of this game.
It's just so... Open ended, I guess. I've started like six different games because there's just so many different ways to play and things to do.
Just for example, I started my current game as a new King named Offa Crownsblood, who took over for a deposed Mad King Aerys. Despite everyone's hatred of Aerys, they were pretty upset at this random new King. eventually they deposed me in favor of my son, Offa II, who everyone loved and went on to have a great reign.
Meanwhile, in the rest of the world, Petyr Baelish joined the Nights Watch and became Lord Commander, Brandon Stark was never killed and eventually took over for his father Rickon as Warden of the North and Lord of Winterfell. Eddard Stark married some northern woman and was granted Most Cailin as his seat. Mace Tyrell, Tywin Lannister and Robert Baratheon all declared themselves Kings. Their rebellions were quashed. I sent Mace Tyrell to the wall and took Stannis Baratheon and Jamie Lannister as hostages. Lannister eventually requested to join the Nights Watch while Stannis would go on to take over the Stormlands after Robert died with no children.
Meanwhile, I'm busy conquering the Step Stones and granting each island to members of an offshoot line of my family (Offa I had two sons, Offa II and Viserion, Viserion's family is being given control of the Stepstones). I even made Viserion King of the Step Stones.
Recently, the grand son of Tyrion Lannister rebelled from Casterly Rock and after I crushed his rebellion, I exiled him to the Nights Watch.
There's just so many different things that you can do and can happen. In another game I played Robb Stark during the war of five kings. I quickly became Bran Stark and then Rickon. Starks die pretty quick it seems. eventually a white walker conquered the Nights Watch and became the Nights King.
Oh, and Varamyr Sixskins managed the Unite the entire Beyond the Wall area under his rule, eventually being deposed by his son, and since I deposed Aerys and Robert's Rebellion never happened, the White Walkers never attacked.
I kind of want to start a game as Drogo just after he marries Dany to see how far I can go with them. If Drogo never does, maybe we get to Westeros sooner!
Anyways, AWESOME game. I m so hooked on this game that I kinda think I have a problem...
