I'm listening to this show now and it's interesting how much of WWE's corporate bullshit got like hardwired into this guy. Or, more likely, that right opinions won't burn bridges.

I thought this was always obvious. The voting is legit, WWE just strong-arms the people to vote the way they want them to.

I thought this was always obvious. The voting is legit, WWE just strong-arms the people to vote the way they want them to. Pretty much. Like having three options that are the same match, having one option be the obvious choice, or just blatantly telling people what to choose. I don't know why they bother letting people vote if they rig it to give the result WWE wants. |

Say what you will, but I'm just glad they've handled it well still.
Let's not forget the days of TNA creating a fan-chosen ranking system and abandoning it within a month because Desmond Wolfe kept winning the vote.

So Roman Reigns really did win Superstar Of The Year in the poll vote over Cena, Bryan, Ambrose, etc. That's not really shocking. There wasn't a lot of strong babyface options in the poll aside from Ambrose, and Bryan was out for most of the year. Ambrose probably split a good portion of his smarky fanbase to someone like Rollins. Because it was an 8 way poll, he didn't need anything close to a majority to come in first. He could have won with less than 20 percentage of the vote. |

Of course, remember Kelly Kelly is the reason Mason Ryan became "The People's Choice". Revisionists like to pretend she wasn't over and I like to pretend I'm not telling them to EAD. You know it is just a well-liked joke in this forum.(The Mason Part).I remember there was some kinda of glitch |

Yeah, or at the least the options are all things that they could do, or they know people will vote a certain way. If you put "dance contest", it pretty much always wins, for instance. Shelton and Jericho confirmed that they didn't know they'd be facing each other for sure until they were told the outcome of one of these votes. |

If they did charge (I think I remember that happening once), then that particular one would have to be on the up and up but no one pays that I am aware of. It is all on the app or website so no charge. It does still shock me that people think WWE fakes them. From the countless wrestlers who have said they were legit to the Mason Ryan stuff to Bryan winning things like he did and all the reports saying they're legit from sites like PWInsider, what more do ya need? Yeah, WWE manipulates them with the choices and what not but never the votes. |
