Jacques just posted on Facebook, in French, that 3 weeks of negotiations resulted in a positive meeting tonight with WWE officials.
Highlight video from a match of his from December. He's improved some, but he has nobody his size that can teach him anything in the territory.
He's the big guy with the title belt. Yeah, nepotism, I know.
Drew 4,000 paid to this show.
Thoughts? Do you see big league potential for the guy?

The Rougeau surname is synonymous with professional wrestling. Give him a shot, why not?

Jacques would love all you guys for making all the references, because that's what he wants them to do with him. Cedric Rougeau, no name change... probably with him as a manager too, like, the exact same act he's booking. f***, for all the crap he's talked about WWE, if they offered Jacques an agent job, he'd give Raymond the book of Montreal and he'd TOTALLY go. But with Owens in the system, they won't do that.
That's how he wants them to book him and also, he wants another thing he won't get, and that's a transfer fee, or some sort of compensation. Cedric's under contract, he's in his right to ask for it, but if he doesn't let him go if they won't give him anything, that's an horrible thing to do to your son.

Cedric said on FB (In french) that his expectations "were more than fulfilled" following last night's meeting and told people to stay tuned. My guess is, they'll have him down in Florida for a tryout. Would be risky to pay to get a guy they know so little about. You have to consider that the man, yeah, he has been wrestling since his early teens, but he has wrestled 100% of those matches for the same company, I'd say against the same 4-5 guys... It's 10 years+ experience, but is it really worth 10+ years in the real world? The day he steps foot in NXT for a tryout will be the first time he wrestles somebody not trained by his dad, unless they put Owens in there for the tryout. BTW, Owens' hard feelings for Jacques do not extend to his kids, so he'd be fine with it.
I'm not sure he speaks a word of english either. But Quebecers pick it up more easily than, say, the Japanese. Most of us at least understand English.
Big potential but there's a lot of questions there.

I have a thought... What the f*** is Doink The Clown doing there? Hey, don't tag Jacques with a lack of originality. He's NOT Doink The Clown. Anymore. He changed his name. :-p Right after he stopped using Tiger Jackson as Dink as a matter of fact. Probably legal reasons. His name is Taloche The Clown. Name is slang for a slap, so he's pretty much Slappy The Clown. He's also a big fat f*** who can't work, and he's getting old, but he's a nice guy.

He's a big, agile guy with an amazing pedigree so he should go far, I just hope Jaques isn't in his ear all the time, persuading him to make bad decisions as he was with Carl Oulette.

Does he like heavy metal? Does he like rock n roll? Or is the only thing he listens to Barry Manilow?
