When I was a wee lad, I sort of knew wrestling was "pretend" but I still thought The Undertaker was actually a scary zombie, Hogan was the strongest man in the world, and that "Hulk" was his first name. Just as "Razor" was Ramon's first name. I also thought Ultimate Warrior was some kind of Voodoo warrior from a tribe somewhere.
In other words I sort of knew wrestling was fake but I still kind of thought it was real. I was young.
Anyway, a lot of kids who like WWE love the likes of Cena. They think he's brave and strong and the best fighter in WWE.
What must they think of Lesnar? Particularly since his booking in the last year? Do they think he's an unstoppable Terminator? (though I doubt kids of this generation reference Terminator)
Anyone have any experiences to share?
I ask because I've never seen a wrestler booked that unstoppable before and as a kid I would have believed you if you told me he was the product of Russian scientists and was made of metal.

They'd probably either find him cool or intimidating, or resent him for beating up some of their favorites.
I think that generally speaking he is one of the most credible threats they've had in a decade.

Probably the way I felt about Ludvig Borga. Well, maybe not like that at all, but I did make a small bust of Borga out of clay in fifth grade art class. It's sitting on my desk as I type this.

He'll either be their favourite because he's basically bigger, stronger and tougher than everybody else like that one asshole kid we all knew who never lost in ANY GAMES EVER because his character was always best... or their least favourite because nobody could beat him.

I have a 9 year old son (Cena is his favorite wrestler). He looks at Lesnar as neither a good guy or bad guy but more of like a final boss in a video game. He is the ultimate person to beat whether you are good or bad and whoever beats him has to beat the best because they beat the final boss.
small edit: He doesn't consider Rollins as beating the final boss because he "cheated" and didn't pin him. He HATES Seth Rollins for breaking up The Shield (even more than I hated Marty as a kid for jumping through the window)

It's great.

During his first one run he was one of my favorites just because he was something I never really ever seen before on wrestling. Like dude is truly a generational athlete and a generational talent. I have a feeling if I was 11 years old during his second run he would easily be my favorite wrestler. Especially on how he's more legit, brutal, stands out more then every wrestler in the company, and more of a tweener then he ever was before. Plus I would probably be a kid who hates Cena and seeing him destroy Cena would be my biggest markout moment ever.

I imagine in Lesnar's case kids see him about the same way adults do. Yeah a large chunk of the adult fanbase talk about Lesnar in the "I know it's fake except..." way detailed in the OP. He has a way of making people marks again. I suspect that effect is multiplied when applied to kids but I hope there's a scenario where a kid is a more of a detached smark when it comes to Lesnar than their parent.

When I was a 8 year old evenbro, I thought he was the coolest because my mom recently put me in a amateur wrestling club, and he would double leg the likes of Rikishi and other big guys. He was my favorite back in 02, and he's my favorite 13 years later. My little nephews love him too, they say even though Triple H dresses like him, Brock is the real life Shao Khan haha

My 3 year old daughter doesn't believe he is just a man, she believes he's an actual monster. She does get really upset when he comes on.

Probably the same combination of fear and intrigue that I felt as a young'n watching Undertaker/Kane/Mankind wallop each other back in the day. I always had a faces of death nervousness watching them fight as if I was gonna witness a murder.

He's the final boss.
I have never said this before about any wrestler, but he should win a very very high majority of his matches like around 95%. Yeah he might lose once in a while, but he's generally unstoppable. generally a monster. he's not Kane or Big Show. This is not a normal wrestler. Remember Mortal Kombat 2 where Shao Kahn was just like a league ahead of everyone else, no matter how skilled you were? He's like that. an SNK boss.
And on the rare occasion he is defeated, it should always leave us thinking that we doubt that wrestler could beat him again. Lesnar is above every other wrestler ever in the WWE. Whether it is Undertaker at Wrestle mania. Whether it is the icon Shawn Michaels. Stone cold, the Rock, Bret Hart, Even Hulk Hogan. Even John Cena. Even HHH.
He's a special attraction. evenvenuen if he's not champion he is still the biggest threat on the roster.
It's not like Ryback where you see him as a big strong hoss but if you try hard enough you can topple him.
And the fans accept Lesnar in this role. Even if he is challenged, they don't really want him to lose that special aura he has. And kids accept it as well. It's natural to them. Lesnar is a monster,he always was the monster. He's the best.
it'll make for great story telling in 10 years when he is finally defeated for good. beaten into retirement. when for the first time ever he doesn't look like the most intimidating wrestler. welwe'll all be shocked and sad to see the passing of this myth, thislegendary athlete. But deep we'll accept it. Just like we eventually accepted the mortality of the undertakers streak and how it was untouchable until Brock stopped it.
But right now? I would expect Brock Lesnar to win against any wrestling opponent ever in wrestling history. The brawlers, the technical specialists, the monsters, the cowardly heels, the high flyers. the juggernauts like Goldberg.
He's simply that badass. Because he can destroy anyone straight up. He doesn't need a stable or even a tag team partner.

I wonder if Brock could F5 Andre or Yokozuna?
And I would have to agree, they probably see him like the final boss in a video game. That's how I see him and it's great!

Brock reminds me of how Andre and Vader used to be portrayed. The Dominant big Guy that could destroy anyone at any time.
