People have always wanted Dlo Brown pushed so him (never understood it myself but that plays into my next guy) Billy Gunn would be another, basically the Dolph Ziggler of the Attitude Era. Triple H was always on that list of guys that deserved better until '03 or so. Radicalz would also be up there.

Trick question; EVERYONE was pushed in the Attitude Era.
God Bless Vince Russo.

The net was in fact around and D-Lo was in fact desired to have a push by the denizens of the internet of old. Dean Malenko also got a lot of love from what I vaguely recall.

Billy Gunn was over like crazy until Rock f***ed it up and I'll say right now, Dolph could stand to watch Billy work. Billy was damn good and deserves far better than what he'll be remembered for.

Billy was damn good and deserves far better than what he'll be remembered for. Nah he wasn't. Believe me, I've only just watched through 1999 and Mr. Ass got a tepid response. The New Age Outlaws as a combo were over like crazy, and even then that was mostly due to Road Dogg's catchphrases. The Rock didn't f*** anything up. One promo given by another guy does not suddenly kill your singles career dead. As for Billy being "damn good", I don't know where that's coming from. He was okay. He had a good look and was athletic (most gifted athlete in the WWF as JR loved to tell us). But he never had a great or memorable singles match. Dolph has had many.

Billy was damn good and deserves far better than what he'll be remembered for. As I remember it, Gunn was a lukewarm heel by the time he even got to the Rock. He was over because people loved the Outlaws/DX and were super-pissed that Billy broke that up. Of course, he was back with them by the fall. He didn't have the goods to sustain anything on his own. Billy gets more credit than he deserves in my book. Gunn never had the charisma or selling ability to be in Dolph's league, but he's remembered as his day's Dolph Ziggler. It's good on paper, but Gunn's never had a singles match even on the level of your average 10 minute Ziggler TV match, let alone his amazing work with guys like Bryan and Del Rio. Ziggler's closer to a Jericho or Guerrero of his day in terms of under-appreciated workhorse who slowly but surely wins the fans over through great in-ring performances and natural charisma. He's not as good as those guys but that's the kind of wrestler he is, he'd be one of the guys getting "screwed and held down" by WCW, eventually jumping to WWE and leaving the Billy Gunns of the world in their dust.

The internet went potty when Jericho jobbed to Chyna.
I remember Jeff Jarrett had both a lot of fans who wanted him pushed and an equal amount of detractors who wanted him no where near the ME.
The lack of a decent Kane title run was also bemoaned.
