I have to admit a part of me died when the announcers were making wagers on how long Fandango would last against Erik Rowan and the finished result was a lot shorter than their actual short predictions

It's weird. Fandango has been getting C shows push and then they let him go face..only to kill him a few weeks later.
Granted I am glad that Harper and Rowan are back.

They probably thought that they were putting Rowan over by doing this.

Remember the match Fandango had with Rusev last week that was actually somewhat competitive and didn't make Fandango look bad in defeat?
Either that's just a really awkward change of pace or Erick Rowan is now above Rusev in kayfabe.

This single handedly showed how bad the commentary is and how much it can bring down a show, segment, match, etc
Forget the idiotic quips and the overall incompetence by the three, them basically burying a man and saying he has no chance to the point they are all BETTING on how quickly he will lose, even the Face Commentator supposedly saying happily he may last "Over Two Minutes" is a complete disgrace to that guy, the work he puts in, and overall just makes your company look like low grade shit.
To the people who actually get into Tough Enough, there is your future.

The way Cole said the day the dancing died it makes me think he's getting a new gimmick.

I didn't see it, but this is why jobber matches worked so well in the 80's and 90's and why it really was a big deal to see Tito Sanatna vs the Mountie at Mania 7.

We don't need to go back to jobber matches. Just stop making roster members look like complete chumps What I would do: • Scale back the number of matches on each show, and make the matches that happen more competitive. This is meant to be the top wrestling organisation in the world, so it stands to reason that the roster should be packed with the best (kayfabe) wrestlers in the world, and as such even the guys at the bottom of the ladder should be able to put up a solid challenge to the guys at the top. Unless your name is Brock Lesnar, you shouldn't be squashing anybody with little effort. • Squashes, when they do happen, should only happen very rarely, so when they do happen it actually means something. • Feuding wrestlers only have matches with each other on PPV. Nothing defuses a hot feud IMO more than seeing two wrestlers/teams meet in matches every week on one show or the other (or sometimes both) in the weeks leading up to it. • The world champion rarely wrestles on free TV.

It would have been better if they maybe said Fandango wouldn't be at 100% after Rusev stomped him, but still, incompetent commentary, there's no defending that.

What made it even stranger was that they automatically treated Fandango like he was a complete jobber, when recently he'd been booked like a credible midcarder, with having competitive matches, and winning some. Then they go and act like Rowan is far above him when he hasn't done anything of significance in months.

...but...it's just Fandango... It doesn't matter who it is. That is horrible commentary
A commentators job is to sell the guy and his skills and ability and what sets him apart from the crowd, how he could win, what he has to do to win, even if the odds are against him.
Not once did they mention how Fandango got offense in on Rusev and looked good, not once did they make Fandango look like any sort of anything other than completely worthless and someone who could literally be fired like he is nothing by saying he would lose in two minutes. And the worst part is, he lost in 30 seconds, and they buried him further due to it.
Would you want to work for a company that not only basically makes you look like a fool with no purpose to it, just for the sake of burying you in front of the world, knowing you've worked years to try and get to this point, and just continue to get stomped down?
This is why you say "but, its just Fandango", because this is what WWE sells him as. This is what Vince does to guys, to the point he feeds Commentary lines (Most likely anyway) about betting that Fandango wouldn't last two minutes. No fight, no purpose, no nothing. Just complete, and utter burial.
If there is anything that would get me to stop watching WWE it would be them continuing this shit. I can get past shitty writing and booking, and I have. But downright treating the wrestlers who give years of their lives to you like they are just fodder for "jokes" that would never be considered funny and just completely destroy a man in seconds, that's the kind of shit that just makes you hate this company and what it stands for.
Respect the guys who go out there every night for you and try their damndest to get over, don't say "Haha he wont last 2 minutes, lets bet on how quick he loses!", it's just disgusting, and is in no way in character for at least Cole and Booker how they come off towards faces any other time
Just ridiculous...
