Seriously even his name is kind of joke. Like Nicolas Cage sounds like a parody name for a fictional action movie hero character. Like I can't stress out on everything about him is a total anomaly Well it was taken because he likes the Marvel character Luke Cage... seriously...

Nicolas Cage isn't a joke, he's a gift. His good movies are great and his bad movies are somehow even better.
And to anyone who disputes this, I have one word for you: Deadfall.

he has a shirt with his own face on it....i cant hate the man at all. I don't know what's more interesting about this picture, Cage's cowboy getup, the T-shirt with his own face or the other guy's mutton chops. Anyway, this picture is just awesome. theres also the fact this photo was taken by Axl Rose after the last gnr gig in vegas last year when Nic just hung out with Axl the entire residency. as for the other guy with the mutton chops, that would be 80's comedian Andrew Dice Clay ...also Axl Rose had the weirdest stable during the last gnr vegas residency when one weekend it was Axl Rose, Duff McKagan, David Copperfield, Nicolas Cage, Andrew Dice Clay, Dean Ambrose and CM Punk all hanging about vegas together.

If this is not hammy acting, I don't know what is. Cage at his finest.

I find it sad he had to sell his copy of Action Comics #1 to pay off his IRS debt. That didn't happen. It got stolen from him, he collected the insurance money, used that to pay it off then the cops found the comic but because he already had the insurance claim spent he didn't get it back.

Such a great movie.

Nicolas Cage is amazing. He's not a joke I'd say, he's a cult legend. He's definitely known for flying off the handle with hilarious over-the-top acting, but it generally enhances whatever movie it's in. Plus he can do understated acting when he wants to as well, in great flicks like Bringing Out The Dead, etc.
Intentional, unintentional, semi-intentional, his brand of comedic insanity is one of the best things going.

Now that's a party I'd like to be at. Though I'm saddened at the lack of Dice coming face-to-face with Cliff Compton.

There's no middle ground with Nicolas Cage. His film performances are either amazing or amazingly terrible. I happen to love him for this fact. Beyond that, he also goes from very subdued, almost like he is talking without moving his mouth, right into highly animated and making weird faces. He also has given people quite a lot of ammo to poke fun at him with, between Face/Off, Con Air, The Wicker Man, Bad Lieutenant, and National Treasure films.

Joe was amazing, and proves the dude still can act and help make a good movie.
Problem is he also does a lot of shit movies, which i'm assuming he does for the money.
