The Duggars are raised in an environment which is paradoxically sexually repressive AND hypersexualised. All the girls are taught to be submissive and subordinate, and all the boys are raised to be dominant, especially towards females. It's no surprise that some shit is going to happen, and I have no doubt whatsoever that the girls Josh Duggar abused were blamed for "leading him on" and "tempting him" and so forth. It's the same attitude reflected in dress codes in certain American schools where clothing deemed too "revealing" (ie: anything showing knees or shoulders) is banned because it might sexually excite boys. www.patheos.com/blogs/lovejoyfeminism/2015/05/what-did-josh-duggars-counseling-look-like.htmlPretty spot on. Remember that counselor they used that was fired for sexually harassing girls. Here is his curriculum. They ask victims the possible causes for their abuse as most likely: -immodest dress -indecent exposure -being away from parents -evil friends Also to be noted by people on this board is that apparently letting siblings wrestle and roughhouse leads to them getting sexy with each other.

I can't just blame Josh. He was a child, he shares some of the blame, and I know a lot of children don't do shit like that, but I feel it was more in how he was raised, and even still, how it was handled. I wonder if the there is a statute of limitations here and how the parents could be brought up with charges of child endangerment. I do blame him, because he wasn't the only boy in that family, yet he was the only one of them who did this. To be fair though, they may've been more diligent with the other children after this happened, as he was the oldest. Again, I'm not taking blame away from him completely, but I feel the parents and the whole dynamic he was living in may've made things worse off.

So their means of counseling is to take the girls and make them feel like they were the ones to blame for getting sexually abused? That's repugnant on a level that I can't even begin to comprehend.
