I wasn't a big fan of this event. The main event, Steel Cage and Hardcore Title matches are the ones to watch. I was unfortunately disappointed by Angle/Triple H.

Another pretty solid card if not as good as the two PPV's that preceded it. The tag title cage match is probably the highlight.
WWE having Benoit falsely win the title again was interesting, I don't know if WWE were just doing it to see how the fans would receive Benoit as Champ but it worked really as it got a lot of people invested in him and wanting to see him finally win the title....which he never actually won.

I voted for Trips vs. Angle, but I got to thinking. As good as the two of them are, they never meshed well together. Surely someone would expect better given they are two of the most talented wrestlers ever, with Angle being in the top 5 and Trips just a couple notches below imo

That very well may be the reason, because if I recall correctly their matches mostly consisted of making H look strong with Angle winning via shenanigans. Of the 3 ppv matches they had H never won, but always looked way stronger

Also when Kurt did win the belt Triple H (and a few others I think) complained to Vince saying he was too small.

Which is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I'd say Kurt definitely was on par with H ring wise by 01, and became the best American wrestler on the planet by 03 imo

It was probably just jealousy on Trips' end, since Kurt began training in 1998 and was World Champion material a mere two years later (a fact even Hunter said himself on the Austin podcast), and it took Triple H around 10 years to make it to the top.
