I've heard that the latest DLC has fixed a lot of the issues that the game had. I still have no interest in checking it out, though.

I'm, honestly, flabbergasted people are still enjoying it. I mean, more power to them in that case... it just bored me to tears after a month. Maybe some stuff is different now.. but what killed it was the fact there was pretty much zero real content, you had to keep doing the same thing over and over and over again... but you never felt like you were progressing. Granted, you have to do the same thing over and over in most games of the genre, but there's enough content in those games to keep you interested. The fact leveling up past 20 was based entirely on luck was complete crap. The idea I could play a game for three weeks straight, and someone else could play one week and level beyond me just because they lucked into more light gear than I did was a killer. This could've been offset by loot tables per bosses, so I could at least say, "Damn, this piece didn't drop off Phogoth this time, maybe next time" when, instead, it became a mad dash to luck into stuff. There was no way to trade or auction items, so here I sit with a full light armor Warlock set that could get me into the high end raids.... and I'm a Titan... and my friend, who really NEEDS the armor, who IS a WArlock, is shit out of luck.
They did a few things right with the game, but did a LOT wrong. In my opinion, it'll take a few years of scheduled DLC to get me to a point where there's actually enough in the game to justify going back to it.

That's one thing that I feel that Borderlands 2 did really well. Not only were you able to trade weapons with your friends, you also had Claptrap's Secret Stash, which allowed you to trade weapons with characters that you were using in your other saves.

Destiny came out amid a lot of hype last fall but when it dropped there were a myriad of complaints. Now that we are six months in, I'm asking you, the FANiacs, if those problems still exist. Is the game worth checking out? This could also apply to Titanfall. Anyway, I've still yet to actually play Destiny, but I've read articles on Yahoo that imply it's a lot better now than it was. Probably doesn't help, but still.
