Remember when Miz turned face and his big verbal comeback to an intelligent insult was, "Your mom says..."
No one wanted Miz to be a face anymore real quick.

OOOOHHHH!" He also asked Punker to bring his best "pipebon". Not a good night for the Cleveland Screamer.

To be fair, Miz needs Flair a lot more than Dolph does. I'm guessing it was an attempt to give a mentor and make him better. Didn't work out that way, but that was probably the logic behind it.

He probably saw the same promise in Miz that he saw in David.

Except they didn't go all the way with it and actually have Flair manage Miz. All Flair did was have random segments with Miz on the nostalgia RAWs and Miz just started doing the Figure Four with very little mention of Flair at all. It probably would've been better if Miz just randomly started doing the move with no interaction with Flair.

He's a decent choice for broken down, deep in debt, shell of himself Flair.
In his prime Flair? Nah, that's just ridiculous.

I try not to, after a decent start face Miz was already struggling and that awful segment with Flair ensured I could never support him again. Miz couldn't even do the figure-four properly! Are you telling me this isn't the proper way to do the Figure Four?

Remember when Ric Flair was Carlitos mentor and tag team partner? Ric's career did get pretty weird after like 2005. The promo Flair did on Carlito just before that was pretty epic though: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FStT_VIdW0cI don't even care that it was in part an actual shoot, it's just great watching him unleash on Carlito.

Are you telling me this isn't the proper way to do the Figure Four? Yeesh. That is just terrible. You'd think he'd have at least worked out the kinks at a house show. Oh, and it's being botched on Dolph Ziggler, of all people. The shade of it all.

Sounds like a save by the announcers, and a nice save I might add, but we know better. The Figure Four ain't the most intricate submission move in the world, if you know what the hell you're doing. It would've taken him maybe 6-8 seconds to lock it in properly, and he's got more than a minute on the clock. Come on.

The fans wanted Ric to manage Dolph. Dolph wanted Ric to manage Dolph. Ric wanted to manage Dolph. So they put him with Miz. Is this for real? As much as backstage news stuff can be, at least. I never heard that the parties involved wanted to do it, just people saying it would've made more sense and I would agree.

What the hell? The move is really simple to apply. How can it be botched THAT badly?

It seems to be hurting him enough."
