Rajon Rondo says his relationship with coach George Karl isn't going too well. Can Rondo still play? When is the last time he was good? I thought he was going to be a superstar for years.

Maybe he should sign up for the Make a Wish Foundations. "I want to play in the NBA Finals".

Knick fans better be happy with them being 4-0 in the preseason. Might be the only time they'll be over .500 this year.

I'm not liking that it looks like Whiteside hasn't been working on his freethrows. This is going to come back to bite him in the ass during the actual season.

I expect the Knicks to be terrible but have signs of life with Melo and Porzingis especially gelling well together. Knicks fans just need to be patient about Phil genuinely rebuilding this team for the long-term instead of taking the "throw money at expensive free agents" short term approach. I know that's asking entirely too much of the average NYC metro area sports fan, but maybe they'll look at the Mets and see how it's done.

Why would you give a guy with THAT offensive upside that money? That's insane. And then when LeBron leaves again, you're stuck with that contract. No one is gonna pay him that money. He had no leverage. What, he goes somewhere else and posts 12 and 12? So? What a joke. And these are the teams to beat in the NBA. Cleveland's coaching has been a joke for a long time, their GMs, their trades, their contract negotiation. And they're gonna make 3 Finals? Maybe even win one. That's why the NBA is so hard to take seriously.

If Cleveland can stay healthy I can see them possibly winning it all next yar and maybe even repeating. Health is very important for any team in the NBA.
As For Tristan Thompson? That's a very, very huge contract and he only produced because of his showing in the playoffs. Usually when that happens they become very inconsistent in terms of offense and defense. I remember seeing it happen with Raef Lafrentz in Dallas, Shawn Bradley, and even Erick Dampier.

So they better hope they win this year, because he could be out the door if not. I remember Dampier's big year, and he was good against everybody. A real contract player, because him in Dallas was like watching a totally different player. Thompson projected to be a better player consistently, but he has such a raw offensive game. He's literally got no above average offensive skills, and most of his points come from his rebounding with put-backs. No one was going to give him 90+ mil. It's crazy that Cleveland would bid against themselves, even if LeBron was in their ear. But I guess that's chalked up as the cost of doing business in today's NBA.

His move back home was to prove that he could win a Championship with his Home team. If he were to take his talents somewhere else again, the media would eat him alive.

I absolutely cannot wait for the Popovich/Costas interviews once Pop becomes Team USA coach.
