Serious answer:
Great Muta vs. Giant Gonzalez/El Gigante
The way Muta works around the other's limitations and brings him into a legitimately entertaining match is a sight to behold, including a once-in-a-lifetime finish. This, and his match with Jericho, are probably Giante's all time best.

The first Samoa Joe vs. Necro Butcher clash.
That match is a beautiful disaster, and both guys make it feel very, very real.

I always loved the Twin Towers vs. the Rockers from Wrestlemania 5. The best part being Akeem delivering a brutal clothesline after the Rockers flying around for a while and Jesse saying, "I believe he angered Akeem".
Others that come to mind without thinking too much, Flair/vader Taz/sabu Midnight express or tully and arn/road warriors

It was at least the last one of that particular tour.

Undertaker/Jeff Hardy ladder match. More story than an actual move for move match, but still one of the most memorable ladder matches AJ Styles/Minoru Suzuki - Styles Clash indeed Yeah that match was put together to get Jeff over and it worked, like Vince had huge plans for him in 2002 I don't know what happened afterwards if Jeff left for tna soon after or if he got injured. I also loved their 2008 match the promo Jeff cut about that he didn't need to apologize for his mistakes for being human and that unlike taker he saw life in gray not in black and white and that why he could do things normal people couldn't. I always thought that Taker-Hardy could've draw a lot of money. I'm sorry if someone already brought it up but HBK-Mankind was f***ing awesome

Here's an interesting match: Rob Van Dam vs. William Regal from WM 18. This looked like a train wreck on paper but it was actually quite a good little match that showed actual clashing of styles can be interesting. In fact RVD has been in a lot of these matches. His matches with Bigelow were exciting as well.

Pretty much any time Claudio Castagnoli/Cesaro takes on "small, flippy guys", you're gonna get an amazing match. Legit came into this thread to mention Claudio's matches with Sydal in ROH.

Did Triple H and Foley ever have a bad match one on one match?
I find it interesting that the thread starter cited Undertaker and Ken Shamrock at Backlash '99 as an example, I've not watched it for some years, but didn't Taker basically spend 20 minutes on his back in this one? I seem to recall being extremely disappointed and bored during their match.
