Yes yes yes Va a morer Werdum is the baddest man on the planet now. The lineal champion from Royce Gracie's first victory.

You gotta respect the altitude. And I would bet Werdum speaks better Spanish than Cain.

Man Werdum looked great, even though it was obvious he was tired too. Not too surprised about the result, I gave him a better chance than anyone else to beat Cain.

The second happiest man in the building must be JDS. He just got a new lease on life in this division.

Do we see a rematch given Cain was obviously rusty as hell and the altitude played a role?

My guess is should a rematch happen, Velasquez comes in MUCH better prepared and doesn't let Werdum get in his head again.
And Cain wins by KO in that rematch.

I say give it to Arlovski. I'd say he earned it after that Browne fight!

7300 feet above sea level is no joke. Gotta get that red blood cell count up. That takes a minimum of 3-4 weeks. Cain admitted he was only there for two.
Werdum just staked his claim as GOAT at the HW division. Fedor. Big Nog. Now Cain. Plenty of big trophies on his mantle.

I'm mad at the Mexican crowd because Fabricio has done more for them than Cain, Fabricio has done seminars there, he has lived there, hell he's the Spanish commentator. I'm glad they got their mouths shut up

I'm glad they got their mouths shut up Cain is "Mexican Pride" and the fact that he had been mashing people and apparently been lobbying for a fight there is what sways people. As I posted earlier on top of Cain missing time, what the hell is up with him faltering under premiere fights. I got flashbacks of his fight with JDS when they premiered on Fox and he got wrecked.

I live at 3600 ft and hike trails that are 4000-6000 ft on a regular basis. Once you hit the wall, there's nothing you can do physically that won't hurt.

Greg Jackson had to right idea having a gym in ABQ at 5300 ft. above.

Yeah Cain lobbied for a fight in Mexico in 2010 and he got hurt, I'm glad that the belt is gonna be defended more than once every two years. I think all the injuries caught up with him, he got punked tonight, he was done the second he was scared of Werdum's guard.

Dana White may be a big mouth sometimes but I do agree that they need to fix their training with Cain as he said. There is no reason you go so hard in training you continue to stay injured but yet everything is all fine in camp. At least they still got DC to rely on.
