Yeah Cain lobbied for a fight in Mexico in 2010 and he got hurt, I'm glad that the belt is gonna be defended more than once every two years. I think all the injuries caught up with him, he got punked tonight, he was done the second he was scared of Werdum's guard. Dana White may be a big mouth sometimes but I do agree that they need to fix their training with Cain as he said. There is no reason you go so hard in training you continue to stay injured but yet everything is all fine in camp. At least they still got DC to rely on. There was a reality show about AKA called "Fight Factory" on an episode Cormier got knocked out and even with a concussion he kept training. I wouldn't pass it pass Mendez if he made Cain do heavy sparing this week. Another AKA guy I need to see getting spanked is Rockhold, he's the one that created the bad blood between Cain and Fabricio over nothing, I hate instigators, that's high school bullshit. Cordeiro should sent a king's middleweight to give him a whupping. f*** it I'm pumped. I'm picturing a war games match between King's MMA and AKA

I fully expect Dana to give Cain the benefit and give him an immediate rematch in "fair" conditions.

Awesome, great to see Werdum win.
Did he come out to Last of the Mohicans? The bar I watched at was loud and filled with douchebags.

Yeah that and Cormier tweeting out shortly before the Rumble fight that he and Cain had a five round WAR in the gym that day(and Javier Mendez well, being Javier Mendez) just leave me shaking my head.

I'm watching the countdown show again. I think Cormier and Cain don't spar, they legit fight. I thought that Jackson's was the worst gym because they made their fighters boring, but in AKA their fighters get injured.
John Hackleman, the head coach of The Pit, home of Chuck Liddell and Glover Texeira, once said that doing drills is the way of the future, not heavy sparring.
Robbie Lawler said that after suffering knockout losses, he decided to stop sparring completely and just focused on doing drills, I think that was one of the causes why he made such a succesful comeback.

I love that we could seemingly be one fight away from a UFC 70 rematch between Arlovski and Werdum in the year 2015. That's f***ing mental.

Was thrilled that Fabricio Werdum won. It's a great story and he has had an incredible run these past five years. Very well-deserved.
If he holds off Cain in a rematch and can avenge some of his previous losses, he can definitely make a claim for best heavyweight of his era. If he holds onto the belt, maybe Cormeir rising in weight too to face him.

Major props to Alvarez for fighting through those nasty eye shots. Melendez really let him off the hook.

Major props to Alvarez for fighting through those nasty eye shots. Melendez really let him off the hook. Alvarez has an amazing amount of heart (see the Cerrone fight for another example), but this is the third time Melendez has had a strong advantage and failed badly to finish the job. He may have beaten Sanchez but he should have been able to finish Diego off by the middle of the second or so, and he blew it against Pettis and Alvarez. This is part of the reason I've never thought very highly of Melendez's time in UFC. That and he was very tepid against Benson Henderson as well.

I always wondered what would happen if Cain's cardio failed him and well it was nothing short of catastrophic.
But now that they have gotten having Cain fight in Mexico out of their system could the UFC please do us a favor and not have any heavyweight fights in high altitude cites.
