If they are going to do a brand split, do it right. Make it the modern day territories. I think that was the original idea behind the brand split. And it lasted about four months. Each brand would have a secondary champion at the top while an undisputed champion "traveled" between shows.

I may be in the miniority here , but I would love to see the world title return - Put that belt on Ziggler, Ryback , Sheamus , Cody Rhodes ( not Stardust ) , So a third mid card title? What's the point of the "world title" if none of the top guys want it? upper mid card

I will like it more when we have less 'former champions' around. Right now like half the roster has been a world champion at some point and it means everyone is too important to lose. Weirdly enough I think they may have done the right thing in not having Ryback win a title until now, because it means more now that he has it and if he ever gets the big one it will mean even more.

Definitely. Having 2 world titles around devalued both of them heavily.
The thought is that the brand split gives more people something to do and mixes up who you'll see on Raw and Smackdown. These are things that can be accomplished without doing a split. The brand split "forced" WWE to do that, but they couldn't keep it going, eventually combining the roster for all PPVs and being lax on the split so that brand identity really meant nothing, unless it was time for a gimmicky show like Bragging Rights.
Brand split was a cool idea in the wake of the wrestling business being completely monopolized, because you could make one of those brands into WCW or something. But now, I'm very glad we're back to one roster, one top champion.

Also when there are so many haves, it makes the have-nots look that much worse. Certain guys on the roster look like total schmucks because they never won a title during a period where everyone and their mother got one.
