Just announced at EA's E3 conference. A new game in the Mass Effect series, taking place independent of the original trilogy, exploring a different universe.
Not much to go on yet, but a tentative Holiday 2016 release so plenty of time for more info.

I really hope it will be as good as Mass Effect 1 after 2 and 3 I do not have much hope for the series but 1 was such a great game.

I'm excited... but not as excited as I would be. ME3 left a sour taste in my mouth and not solely because of the ending. Because the game was shit. It was all flash and style, no substance. Plus that meathead gears of war knock-off douce annoyed the hell out of me.
In fact, I think #2 is vastly overrated. It was just travel to location A, recruit a member, repeat until the last level.

They call it "Mass Effect" but it doesn't have Shepard or the team. Lame.
I'd rather they just reboot the trilogy with better tech and fix the endings.

Not even a little bit interested and I enjoyed the first trilogy. I hate meaningless announce/cinematic trailers.

Somewhat interested but was not a fan of 3. looks like the Mako is back in some capacity I'm good with that... I thought taking that out completely was a mistake in 2. Bioware has stated the person in the trailer is not the PC... and to stay tuned.

Honestly, once they released teh patch that inreased the movement speed of it I didn't find scanning that bad.

But...that tedious scanning gave us this: Mass Effect thoughts: 1. I think Mass Effect 1 had the best overall story. Hated the combat. 2. I love Mass Effect 2 to death. My favorite game ever. Mind you, ME2 is was got me into the Mass Effect series. Also Jack. Just Jack. "So f*** you, and thanks for asking." 3. I think Mass Effect 3 is my favorite game of the series to play. Still frustrated over the whole ending fiasco. I still won't play the final mission. Love ME3: Citadel. That DLC made me enjoy all the time and effort I've put into this series. 4. Like what I saw in the trailer. Will be interesting to see what new characters bring to the squad. I do admit, I marked when I saw the N7.

Absolutely nothing in the series came close to capturing the same emotions I felt the first time Sovereign spoke. That was a classic sci-fi moment right up there with anything from any movie, IMHO.
They are all fantastic in their own way though, even if 2 seemed to lose focus a bit and 3 went right off the rails at the end. Mass Effect 3 had some of the best single sequences....Tuchanka immediately comes to mind. "Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong."
