Anyone else see it? Man I remember watching the first trailer two years ago the night Man of Steel came out, and have been patiently waiting ever since.
With the release date 3 months away this was a good thing to show some more of the story.
Your thoughts?

Was there two Liquids at the end?
Was that girl Paz? How the hell did she survive?
Argh, 3 months seems so long. I want this game now!

That was two of the Enfants Terribles. So 2 of Solid, Liquid or Solidus.

Well it cant be Solidus right? He was the perfect clone so they put like an enhanced aging in his system. By this time he should already be a young adult right?
Did they ever say liquid and Solid looked alike as kids?
Dammit I can't wait for the game anyone care to travel to the future and grab us copies?

Don't want to be one of those fans, but this is going to be the last true Metal Gear game so I'm definitely down for buying it.

Like what else can Big Boss go through before the events of Metal Gear? I'm perfectly fine with this being the last true MGS game. If it can perfectly lead into closing the loop on the whole series it will be a great way to go out on . I'll be there every step of the way coming September 1

I'm so hyped. Knew that Eli would most likely end up being Liquid but I still marked the **** out.

I think I'm going to buy it. Only thing is, I haven't played a MGS game since #2 which was awful and put me off the series so I'm a bit worried the plot will confuse the heck out of me. I played Ground Zero and enjoyed it though and, seemed tograsph the general idea of what was going on so I may be OK. Rescuing a child soldier who was a member of Snake's private army and some group holding an inspection for nukes as decoy for attacking their base? Right?

You probably already know this, but that wasn't Snake (not the one of MGS1 and 2 anyway), that was Big Boss. V is a sequel to MGS3:Snake Eater and Peace Walker, and acts as a prequel to the original Metal Gear, telling the final major chapter of how BB would go on to form Outer Heaven.

Ah, I didn't know that. He was called Big Boss once or twice but also Snake so I assumed at some point in the games I missed, Snake became Big Boss. At least with it been a prequel it means that Raiden isn't going to appear? Because he was a key part of the reason that killed my interest in #2. Why play as a tough, grizzled badass mercenary when you can be a whiny loser with crap anime hair?

Why play as a tough, grizzled badass mercenary when you can be a whiny loser with crap anime hair? Without going into spoilers, if you play MGS4 and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Raiden does grow out of the insulting audience stand in loser character he was in 2, albeit still prone to being unintentionally funny. If you're curious about the timeline it goes like this: 1964: Metal Gear Solid 3:Snake Eater 1974: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes 1984: Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain 1995: Metal Gear 1999: Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake 2005: Metal Gear Solid 2007/2009: Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty (Tanker Chapter) 2014: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots 2016/2018: Metal Gear Rising Revengeance There's also a PSP Portable Ops game between Snake Eater and Peace Waker which is not only never been re-released on a console (showing how much Konami cares about it), it seems to exist in a vague area of being neither canon or non-canon. The story seems to be that the events in the game happened, but don't seem to be important to anything in the broad timeline. Jump directly from 3 to PW, and you don't really miss anything.

So, I was watching the new trailer from Gamescon and I'm like "oh look at all this neat stuff, showering, POBs, Hand of Jehuty, aaaa... aaah... haaaa... A-ha! GIMME! GIMME IT NOW! NOW NOW NOW!"

Didn't really like the new trailer. It felt like a generic action trailer.
But then again, this is the only trailer not done by Kojima.
Doesn't matter though, the game will be awesome.
Only 3 and a half weeks to go!

That was two of the Enfants Terribles. So 2 of Solid, Liquid or Solidus. Solid & Liquid I assume. I'm sure they say something about Solid dying his hair black in MGS1 & cutting it to distinguish himself from Liquid.

Snake just cuts his hair in MGS1 I believe. I don't think Naomi was carrying hair dyer with her during those tape things But it's been a matter of debate in the fandom if Snake's hair color is brown or blonde (since, well, he and Liquid are twins and Solidus was on the blonde side as well). Shirakawa also went on record to say that Pliskin's hair was supposed to be Snake's natural hair color in an earlier stage of MGS2's development and it was supposed to be lighter than Snake's regular hair color. But in MGS1, all we know is that he cut his hair, nothing else. Also, he had brown hair in every game he's been in, excluding MGS4 (where it looks like it greys from a darker color, as per the interwebz), so that's all I have to say on the matter.

Just wanted to bump the thread with the game coming out soon (unless you guys got the game on the east coast or got lucky like me and found a place the released it early)
On episode 10, though I can't continue since having a missile launcher is recommended. Looks like I'll be doing side ops for a while.
Waiting for the servers go up, so I can get my GZ save.
Just wondering for those that have it, have you guys gone on the Konami CORE website to get the DLC that you can get for registering your copy of MGS GZ from last year?
