The wife and I are four episodes in. This is so completely different than what we're just to these days. It honestly feels like we're watching NXT played at double speed. While the likes of Jeff Jarrett, AMW, Kid Kash and Monty Brown are all prominently featured, this is easily AJ's show. Jeff might be the champ and in the main event feud (with Ron Killings and Dusty, of all people), but they are making damn sure we know that Styles is the star, focus and face of the company.

It sucks though. Jarrett never quite released his stranglehold on the main event until around 2007ish so many people where sacrificed along the way.
Don't remind me how much I used to enjoy TNA.
TNA is like that best friend you had who grew up and messed up time after time. You tried to stick with them, but now they're addicted to meth and living on the streets and you just can't save them anymore.

Our current plan is to go to Bound for Glory 2006, then skip ahead to the summer of 2009. Our last show will probably be the infamous 1/4/2010 show, but we give the 10/14/10 episode a shot as well. (We've never seen it.)

Lol don't do it, you'll go from the lax vs AJ and Daniels cage match, to the nasty boys, from the Kevin Nash X division gauntlet to bubba the love sponge

When Raven first showed up I remember thinking that despite some problems it was a damn good promotion that could easily become a major player. Yet, every time they seemed to have momentum they found new and creative ways to destroy themselves.

I was going to say you are out of your mind and I just thought you meant you were going to watch this week's Impact from the beginning.

Which reminds, they never did anything to celebrate a decade of iMpact, did they? Granted, it came in 2014 when IW were clinging to the skin of existence, and affairs haven't improved, but given their chubby for themed shows, it would've been easy fodder.

They reached 500 episodes last year, and they didn't even acknowledge that

You will go insane by the time you get to the Stone Cold Jeff Jarrett main events. The ones with tons of interference and Double J going over everyone who was dumb enough to come in for money.

Could be considered grounds for divorce and a restraining order. Could be considered grounds for divorce, a restraining order, and chemical castration. Just a little nudge into train tracks will do the trick.

A few observations after finishing episode six:
- Jeff's ring gear consists of a tuxedo and white gloves. It looks really, really stupid.
- Speaking of Jeff, he has his own security force called the Elite Guard (Chad Collyer, Onyx and a pre-LAX Hernández). While they were supposed to be the Bizarro World 3 Live Kru, they come off as a crappy version of The Shield.
- Team Japan (Nosawa and Miyamoto) are being presented as a threat to AMW's tag titles. It's weird, because we completely forgot that Nosawa was ever in TNA. We still have no idea who Miyamoto is.
- Way to be a heel in 2004 TNA: Invade the personal space of the face nearest to you and just start yelling. You're guaranteed to get what you want, every single time.
- Impact is still all about AJ Styles. According to D'lo, he was so inspired by AJ's return to the X Division that he left Japan to peruse his dream of becoming NWA champion. Jeff Hardy joined TNA just to have the opportunity to wrestle him. Not beat him, mind you - just wrestle. (It was heavily implied that Jeff knew he couldn't beat Styles, so he wasn't even going to try. He merely wanted a good match.) The X Division, led by Kazarian and Matt Bentley (still known as Michael Shane), is trying to send him back to the heavyweight division because he's "too dominant." And when AJ isn't on screen, someone will inevitably ask "where's Poochie AJ?"
- The shilling is super heavy. Shark Boy and D-Ray 3000 keep hyping Universal Studios and their Popeye exhibit, Mike Tenay keeps name dropping Fox Sports, the wrestlers constantly mention the pay-per-views and Don West... Don mentions everything, often all at once.
- Fox Sports NASCAR analyst Jeff Hammond might be good at calling auto racing, but he sucks at calling wrestling. For example, he likes to refer to the six-sided ring as "a short track." What in the hell does that even mean?
- The following is a quote from former NWA champ Ken Shamrock: "I'm going from the octagon to the hexagon." That's really terrible Ken... Almost as bad as your second run in TNA.

I've always refused to EVER watch a full episode of Impact. There was ALWAYS something that pissed me off enough from keeping up live rather than waiting to watch the acclaimed Good Shit later.

Watching Monty Brown squash the ever loving shit out of MVP was oddly satisfying.
