Thinking over the whole event I have to point out something again. Tito is the lamest guy in the world. I bet if he wins the title he'll do an hour long pantomime of digging up a sphinx. And if he loses he'll have some laundry list of excuses waiting. He will also pantomime drawing up said list.

Man, I do question if some Bellator fights are a work sometimes. That Shamrock/Slice fight was some other shit. Ken wishes Rhodes gashes on his head where a work. Even if it was rigged he got some damage from it

The Tito Ortiz vs Liam Mcgeary fight makes sense because it's a win win for Bellator. If Tito pulls an upset he keeps being a draw, but if Liam wins and destroys him, he'll get credibility.
Also the light heavyweight tournament has legit guys in Phil Davis and King Mo. Maybe they did this freakshow so their real fights announcement would get a bigger audience
Coker is known for booking freak shows as a way to showcase the real fights he wants. He did that on the first Strikeforce show when he booked Frank Shamrock vs Cesar Gracie, the fight was so ridiculous that John McCarthy refused to be a part of it as a ref, because Cesar who never had an mma fight before was booked against a legit monster.

Oh, Bellator. I'm glad to see that kayfabe is alive somewhere.

Honestly the only real positive thing that could be said about the main event was it didn't last very long.
But honestly I really do hope that Bellator gives Shamrock the one and done treatment because it would be straight irresponsible to give him another fight, as old Shammy has deteriorated to point where he could easily end up being the first person to ever die during a fight in a major MMA promotion.

In Ken's defense he fought a guy almost 50 pounds heavier than him and took him down which was an accomplishement I think if he were to fight again, he would fare better at middleweight.

Rating was 2.1 million viewers And apparently had 2.3 million viewers during the main event. Say what you will about the 'freak show' fights, but between this and the Tito-Bonnar one(which was over 2 million as well I believe) and people seem to want to watch a good car wreck.

Eh Kimbo weighed in at just over 230 which is not quite 50 pounds and the guy has zero TDD and a bad knee due to arthritis so I really can't see that as bright side to Shamrock's performance. Also I really don't see Shammy fearing any better at MW as he is simply too broken down and one dimensional to complete against decent well rounded MMA fighters, not to mention it would be a pretty big maybe if he could make the cut to 185. That and does anyone really want to see a washed up 51 year old man get his lights punched out again.

You're wrong Kimbo weighed in 230 but the day before, the day of the fight the fighters recover some of the weight they cut, so there's a strong possibility that Kimbo was over 240. I didn't say that Ken could win against top notch competition, just that he would've fared better in middleweight.

I'm pretty sure Kimbo wouldn't bother with cutting weigh because he if wanted to come in at over 240 he could do so without tiring himself out with a pointless weight cut. But anyway Ken has announced that he wishes to continue fighting which does beg the question what is Bellator going to do with him because the only fighters they he seems able to beat these days are total soup cans.
