This feud should of been of those things they could go back to every few years when both are around the belt or just for the sake of putting them together during a time event. As well all know the Roode push didn't really get off to the hot start it was supposed to(thanks Hogan) but they salvaged it with the heel turn on Storm.
Which brings up my next point. Storm looked like a made man from that point on with crossover appeal, even if you wasn't ready to put the strap back on him, at least could of had him made life for Roode hell. I always thought the big plan was for Storm to get the title back but they put the belt on Aries and he turned and dropped it to Hardy. Is this one of their bigger feuds they screwed up or you think it ran its course?

Not putting the title on Storm at Lockdown 2012 was so dumb, especially the "WHOOPS!" finish where the focus is on what a flukey, stupid way that was to end a match. Allegedly, the plan was for him to come back and win the title at BFG, but I knew at that point that they missed the boat.

I take it as they were doing too much at one time and Aries was hot then so they decided to let him run a little with the belt. Of course in order to fulfill Hardy redemption story, Aries than became CM Punk Lite.

I think the intent was to have Storm finally beat Roode at Bound for Glory, but then Aries became white hot along the way.
To their credit, they struck while the iron was hot with Aries, but the iron was only going to be hot for one of them. And then they screwed that up by turning Aries a few months later so he could jealous of Jeff Hardy's fanbase. Meanwhile, Roode and Storm just sort of limped into Bound For Glory without a title on the line, had a great Street Fight that sadly was third on the card because there was no organic reason to keep the rivalry going without the title up for grabs.

Yes, they struck while the iron was hot but a part of me would of hoped they stuck to their guns and just gave us something with them one more time with the title outside of the little blow off at BFG.
