What would you say was the first "hardcore" WWF match, and 1. I mean of the WWF era, so 1984 onwards (Hulkamania Era onwards) and 2. When I say hardcore, I mean most brutal match, the one that first made you wince. I was read the reviews for teh Cactus/Maxx/Nasties brawl at 1994 Spring Stampede and while ive only seen the clips its described as some insane bumps and shots for 1994.
So thinking back to the cartoony WWF era (1984-1996?) what was that first brutal match that stood out?

Slaughter had some brutal brawls around 85.
I'd say the most brutal match that made me cringe was the chain match between piper and valentine in 82 if that counts...
Hogan suplexing boss man off the top of the cage in 89 was pretty hardcore.
Undertaker vs berserker in 92...

For what it's worth, I remember Bret/Bulldog from IYH in December of 1995 being shockingly bloody for the era.

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Iron Sheik in a series of Boot Camp matches in 1984 would probably be up there.

What year was the PAtterson / Slaughter street fight? That was hardcore for the time, but timid by modern standards.

The first match described as "hardcore" would actually have been Bret/Diesel at Survivor Series 1995; primarily based off the bump Bret took off the apron where he fell onto one of the announce tables, collapsing it (monitors and all). This would have been in the midst of ECW's glory days so the bump got a lot of comment.
After 1984 and prior to that match, WWF was not known for frequently using bladejobs or blood in general. There were some exceptions, but were generally limited to supercards or _Saturday Night's Main Event_. The cage match at Wrestlemania 2 was one; the Bulldogs/Hart Foundation 2-out-of-3 match in May 1987 was another (Dynamite Kid had a bloody nose throughout the second half.) The Bret-Piper match at Wrestlemania 8 was brutal; they were careful to minimize the view on tape, but stills from ringside in the Apter-mags showed Bret in a full crimson-mask (Flair pulled an obvious bladejob later that night and was fined heavily for it; Bret got away with his). There may have been others, but it wasn't a regular thing by any stretch.

Other than the Wrestlemania 8 situations, the only other times I recall blood were Hogan blade jobs and both were at Wrestlemania (5 and 7) I canr really think of any others. Anything else deemed "hardcore" used to get the Censored Red X (Beefacke/Bass, Jale/Macho. Sherri/Luna)
Bret vs Diesel is a good example, I always call that the true start of the Attitude Era (Going through the table, Diesel turning into a tweener etc)

What year was the PAtterson / Slaughter street fight? That was hardcore for the time, but timid by modern standards. 1981. And Sarge was a mess after that.

I would throw in Hulk vs Bundy at Wrestlemania 2 on the list. I think after it happened there was an update on either the WOR or USA clip show that had an update with Bundy in the hospital with a oxygen mask on.

can't remember when it was but there was a hell in a cell match with undertaker and i think triple h where triple h nail undertaker with the steps and he was bleeding enough to where you'd swear it was in a CZW death match or something it was just pouring out

As mentioned above, there were elements of what we call hardcore wrestling back in the early 80's, with Sgt. Slaughter's Crimson Masks during Boot Camp matches, or "Super Fly" Jimmy Snuka jumping off of the cage in MSG. I don't think it was until Mankind debuted, and started feuding with Taker, that all of those elements solidified into what could truly be called a hardcore match.

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Iron Sheik in a series of Boot Camp matches in 1984 would probably be up there. This is the objective answer, considering the OP's parameters.

WWF didn't really do that stuff. The hardcore stuff grew out of southern traditions (The Tupelo Concession Stand Brawl) and came from NWA territories. Remember that Philadelphia was a battleground city between Vince and Crockett and the Crockett guys would get color where Vince wouldn't allow it. So while the marketing of the 90's and beyond tries to tie the legacy of ECW to WWE (because Heyman is a New Yorker and the smart move for his fans was to distance any legacy to WCW) the true legacy was to the old NWA.

I remember Hogan vs Harley Race on SNME was pretty hardcore. There was a table spot.

Shawn/Razor ladder match maybe? Probably had the most weapon usage (even if it was all ladders) of a match from that time.
