Using Bray Wyatt as an example, this guy has had so many feuds since he debuted in WWE a mere 2 years ago. Off the top of my head, I can think of...
Kane
Bryan
Cena
Jericho
Ambrose
Taker
Ryback
Reigns
Now what's surprising to me is the fact that he's never feuded with Orton. I guess WWE are saving it for Wrestlemania and I can't really say I'm looking forward to it.
My point is, do you think WWE assign the feuds together like "Well, X and Y aren't feuding with anybody so let's have them face off against each other!" rather than "You know what? X and Y would be a tremendous feud. Let's do it!"
I have a feeling it's the former. Let's face it... the majority of Wyatt's opponents haven't really "matched up" with him character wise. The likes of Ryback, Reigns, Jericho... even Ambrose. I'm struggling to see why Wyatt would have an issue with these guys. Cena, Bryan, even Taker... I can see what his problem with those guys would be. But the first batch of guys I mentioned just seems like a classic case of shoehorning 2 guys together cause they have nothing else to do.
I remember back in the day, I always remembered wrestlers for their feuds. "Oh Doink the Clown? I remember when he and Dink feuded with Bam Bam and Luna! I remember the 5 Kings vs 5 Doinks match at Survivor Series with Jerry Lawler!"
Nowadays, we don't really have those feuds associated with the wrestlers. Bray Wyatt has only been here 2 years and yet he has feuded with like, 10 guys. I can't name you one feud I'd look back on and say "Yeah, I remember when he feuded with that guy. That was a great feud." - I guess Ambrose had the best matches with him but story wise, it would probably be Bryan.
Your thoughts? And to keep this thread interesting, what feuds do you associate with certain wrestlers? Be obscure! Everyone associates Austin with Vince, Rock and HHH etc. How about the Big Bossman? For me, I always remember his epic feud with the Big Show and his feud with Al Snow. Over the top heel Bossman was brilliant!
