How did Big John get in the wrestling biz anyway? What has he ever done? Wasn't he the one who thought Styles leaving wasn't a big deal? Of course AJ shoved that thought up his ass by becoming the biggest non-WWE wrestling star in the world. He's a friend of Kevin Dunn.

I highly doubt any ROH guys will be jumping to TNA while it waits for God. It is like the time they tried to poach ROH for ReDragon and when they could get them, they made a move to get Brutal Burgers who turned them down. With stories of people not getting paid and seeing folks' careers suffer greatly from being TNA'd, good luck on convincing any potential prospects from coming in. Unless they are near the bottom of barrel and/or naive as f***. Even in better days though going to TNA always seemed like a "why would anyone do this?" type of thing. I get guys like Sam Shaw and Gunner, virtual unknowns just trying to get a foot in the door, but guys like Davey Richards and Austin Aries? You would think that anyone thinking long term would be savvy enough to see that TNA will drown you in stupid until no one thinks you were ever good in the first place. You look at how awesome AJ Styles is now and have to think it's a miracle because people were laughing at his antics in a bad way at the tail end of his run. They've so consistently taken guys with buzz and promise and made them complete non-factors. There was a time when, thanks to exposure, a television deal, and steady ratings, the X Division was the premiere place for certain talents to showcase their abilities, and as far as alternatives went, it was the only non-WWE place where you could get on network television across the country and put yourself out there. Sure, the X Division got ruined and now they're off a major network and pulling mediocre ratings, but when "times were good" it was definitely a potential career upgrade. Hell, back in the day, the indies were still finding their way and trying to adapt to the internet; WCW going under left a void that it's taken some time for competitors to grow and fill, and now ROH is just about ready to eclipse a dying TNA, but they were still such a distant number three that it's taken TNA all but losing its pulse to put their spot into contention.
