So we all saw taker's underwhelming mania return against Bray. It wasn't a terrible match but it wasn't something we needed to see.
Can we just not have more Taker matches? How exciting is Taker/Sting? I gotta tell you, I really don't care about the result of that. Do you?
I mean It's an ok match but maybe it's time to just let Taker go you know?
If one or the other wins, do you really care?
I'm saying this watching the recent couple manias thinking about Taker. I just don't see a reason to keep trotting Taker out. Let's wrap it up.

I honestly don't care at all about him anymore
Didn't care about his last 5 Mania matches per se (of course 28 & 29 matches were excellent)
Give me big WM matches with the Shield guys, Rusev, Owens, Zayn, Cesaro, Neville, Ziggler, Cody or Bray. I care about them

Nope nope, we have to build the 6th or 7th Mania in a row based on Taker's legacy, without him none of us would exist and WrestleMania would be a nebulous, never-fulfilled concept.

It needs to stop and beating Wyatt was as good a place as any. What would having him go over Sting do? It wouldn't be a great match because Taker just can't do the things he used to and Sting needs someone to help carry him at his age and if Taker won, it would be one last slap in the face to WCW fans who remember exactly what he did during the Invasion.
The only Sting match that I would possibly be interested in is Cena v Sting given how they're basically the same person and Sting raising Cena's hand wouldn't be anything like as nauseating as him shaking hands with Triple H.

I really felt that Undertaker should have stopped at WM26.
I wasn't enthralled at all by his 2 later matches with Triple H.
The CM Punk match was fun but it just felt like more of the same that wasn't going to lead to anything.
Brock breaking the streak served it's purpose, but the match was weak.
And Bray just isn't my cup of tea at all. I couldn't care less about this happening.
Sting and Undertaker just never was a thing to me. It doesn't help that Trips has already beaten Sting and the commentary explaining that the war with WCW is " over". Okay...then why a match with Taker? Wasn't that the big draw to both guys since they were the most loyal to their company for years?
If I was to get one big match out of Sting and an Attitude Era guy, it'd be the Rock.

The Brock match should have been his retirement match.

I've never been a fan of his anyway but I'm adamant that he's been fortunate since Mania 21 to have matches with better wrestlers than him (possible exception of Batista), which is when the streak of great matches began.
I won't miss him. Cena could fill the same role just as well.

Big Evil vs. Surfer Sting.
Come on, you know that would be the shit!

I just don't see a need for Taker/Sting. It would essentially be a double retirement match and nobody wants to see either guy lose.
Also, Taker is still good enough in the ring but should probably stay out of singles matches. I think he'd do great in a tag or 6 man tag.

Nope. Even half-assed, Taker still tends to be the better part of the show in most cases.

It'll happen because the general audience will be very pleased for it.

It may not be a 5 star match, but his name alone will sell tickets, which is exactly what they will need for next year's Wrestlemania at Cowboy Stadium. If they're trying to fill that place to capacity, I don't see this Wrestlemania being the first one in years without Taker.

Let him have one more match against a dominating heel, make him win the match and retire. Taker deserves a big send off.

Underwhelming? I loved that match... Bray's facial expressions during Takers entrance were some of the best in ring acting I've seen... it told a story in it's own right.
I will concede it didn't have much of a point to happening though... win or lose Bray was going to revert to his same schtick like he always does and Bray beating Taker slightly cheapens Brock beating him (since now some one else beat him so maybe anyone could have beaten Taker at this point).
I still think Taker's last match should be at a Survivor Series just to Bookend his career.

Eh, I'd bring him back once more to go against Kane (masked once again) to complete the WM trilogy. Don't care who wins as long as both are never seen in the ring again.

The End of an Era should have been the last one. It was an excellent match and I wouldn't have been sad if that was it for both of them.
Taker/Sting is just gonna be depressing. It's 15 years too late.

The best opportunity IMO of a good Taker/Sting was WrestleMania 27. In Atlanta. THAT's when it should've happened, but Sting chose to stay in TNA and wrestle a drugged up Jeff Hardy instead. The ship has sailed on me caring about that match.
