Is there any word on whether or not they'll merge the stories/characters with The Walking Dead? I was thinking that maybe they'll possibly turn into The Whisperers?

I believe Kirkman has said there's no plan currently, but that if Fear gets 4-5 seasons in an TWD is still going you might see some crossover

Tonight's episode wasn't bad and preview for next week's episode made it look like a good one, although it definitely spoiled something.

Alicia's going to end up bringing them all down eventually, her blunder with the radio almost doomed the crew faster than Gilligan's 3-hour tour

I was bored until the last ten minutes. The next episode does look much better.

The writing on the show really needs some work. Cliff Curtis can make almost any dialog sound great, but the fact that he's basically given nothing to work with is really hampering him.
Beyond that I like the premise - island hopping to see how small enclaves are handling the zombies, but the characters are so flat and the dialog is almost 99% exposition. They really need to write them in some more personality or quirks. Everyone is just so angsty and melodramatic.

"Fear" was great tonight, probably the best episode yet.
It was cold of Strand to cut that rope and leave Alex stranded...
But I expect Alex to be back on the show at some point.

I'm really starting to enjoy the show and this is coming from someone who hated the first season.
Kinda guessed that Strand was gay at the middle though, didn't feel that it needed the closing credits reveal... unless the big reveal wasn't that he's gay, more that he's more human and capable of emotion than he's letting on.
Nick's becoming a good character, never saw that coming.
I'd watch Cliff Curtis in just about anything... his wife though. That character is joining a long list of hated tv wives.

I think it would be interesting if Alex ended up becoming a recurring villain after everything we've seen. Instead of being an airplane crash survivor who was focused on saving a kid, she instead spends her time hunting down the main group.

Another great episode tonight. FWD seems to keep getting better every week. Chris seems to be going off the deep end. It'll be interesting to see how big of a strain his increasingly dangerous behavior puts on Travis and Madison's relationship. Especially if Madison or one of her kids ends up having to kill Chris. And I'm guessing Celia won't be too happy with Strand after he {Spoiler}shot Thomas in the head after he passed away, to prevent him from turning.

Okay, I tuned out of this show some time back, but I need to know: what was the reason they wrote Strand's character as being gay? Does it feel genuine, or does it feel like the writers just shoehorned it into the show to pander to the gay community?
Because on Walking Dead, the latter seems to be the case with their gay characters.
