Not traveling buddies but I've read that Meng and Norman Smiley were drinking buddies in WCW. That would be THE group to hang around and drink beer with Yep, if things started to get hairy I would certainly want those two as my back up.

I once went to a WCW house show in the early 2000s. Main event? Sid vs. Rick Steiner. As I am looking for a place to park, I almost crash into another car in the parking lot. Who is in the car together? Sid and Rick Steiner. Later that night, they had an epic battle that included Sid hitting Rick Steiner with a folding chair that had at least four inches of padding on it. "Half the brain," indeed.

Not traveling buddies but I've read that Meng and Norman Smiley were drinking buddies in WCW. Vampiro was part of their little "clique" as well, due to his and Norman's friendship from Mexico. There was a fourth one I used to hear named that would hang with them, but I can't remember who now. I think Moolah and Greg Valentine traveled with Sheik and Duggan as well. Sheik (in)famously threw Moolah out of the car because she was complaining about them smoking the "wicked weed". That's funny - in the documentary Lipstick & Dynamite, there's a scene at Moolah's place (with her and Mae) where two teenage girls show up unannounced looking to see if she has any pot for them that day.

CM Punk telling a story about how I believe it was Kofi, Deuce, Domino, Cherry, Hornswoggle and Punk grabbing a hotel room and sneeking in the rest of them.

Or Hornswoggle rides around on Khali's back in a backpack, like Yoda or Master Blaster. But when Khali goes to stretch his legs pressing his back against the seat, he'll crush Hornswoggle to death. Hell that means less comfort for Khali. Unless Hornswoggle sits on his shoulders Mini Van = More leg room

Hornswoggle, Daivari, The Great Khali, and Mark Henry all traveled together from 2006-2007 My fantasy casting for the inevitable road movie is: Hornswoggle: Peter Dinklage Mark Henry: Nick Webber-Agnew Daivari: Dev Patel Khali : CGI (Vin Diesel shouting into a tin bucket as voice)

Wasn't there a picture of John Cena and Funaki in a car circulating at one time? There is a pretty funny story that John Cena tells on the Jericho interview on the Network about traveling with the Japanese guys.

I just find it easy to imagine Norman Smiley in his civvies relaxing at some bar in Miami, a cold mug of beer in one hand & a big stogie in the other watching Meng crack the skulls of some frat boys who wont leave a table of lovely ladies alone

Anyways I just heard on the radio where today's theme is random celeb encounters. Apparently in 2002, Goldust and Brock Lesnar booked a room together. That's a unexpected pairing but I think Dustin Rhodes was a farm boy so it does make sense

I'm pretty sure that Michael Hayes said on a Legends of Wrestling episode that he travelled with Lex Luger for a while in WCW. Seems like an unexpected pairing to me. But then, from what else Hayes and the others said about Lex, having anyone travel with him might be unexpected. Didn't Hayes also say that he liked traveling with Luger because they both loved Oldies?

I remember reading once that Juventud Gurerra and Bob Orton used to travel together back during the Mexicools days. Trying to remember the reason behind that. Something like no one wanting to travel with "the old guy" and WWE needing someone to keep an eye on Juvi was how it came about. From what I remember, they both had heat with everyone else over their attitudes, and nobody wanted to be around either of them, so they banded together.

I went to a WCW Worldwide taping at Universal Studios in 1998. You could either enter the tapings as a park guest or if you had called ahead you could get on a list to be brought into a taping. To get to that you had to go to a separate parking lot and get trammed over. Well unbeknownst to me, this was also the parking lot where all the wrestlers left from. I remember seeing Jericho, The Nasty Boys and Roadblock all leaving. I want to say together but I could be misremembering it. Nasties and Roadblock definitely shared a car, I just can't remember if Jericho was with them or by himself. the oddest part being that there are no listings of any Nasty Boy matches taking place in WCW that year on History of WWE. I know for a fact that it was 1998 because I was the only nWo Hollywood shirt in a sea of Wolfpack ones. also people were chanting for Goldberg so I think it was just after he won the belt. it was also before Bash at the Beach because I remember watching the PPV and seeing Chavo get his head shaved and going "oh, the match he did at our taping probably will never air now since he's supposed to be bald"
