Hopefully that means they struck a deal. UUDD is one of the best things going with this company. Same with the New Day Podcast.

Why am I imagining a (not too distant?) future where New Day has moved on and the new host of UUDD is whoever WWE management thinks would be good at playing those 'electronic video game toy things'?

I thought UUDD was just a fun little trying that Woods did with his friends. No idea that the WWE owned it. Guess this may have been a thing where the WWE said either stop doing it or give the show too us.

WWE is playing with fire here. They do not want to lose Woods or potentially all of New Day. That would be VERY bad for them. Renegotiate and pay the man. Like I said before, Kofi said he took less money so Big E and Woods could make the same exact money he did for the same time, same exact contracts, they did it as brothers. So...when one's gone, they're all gone. This is probably going to be the official start of them wanting to move from the company if the company doesn't do right which I don't expect the company to abide by. The only way they can make it right is giving Woods complete control over UUDD and they're never gonna do that. Hmmm, but could that be working against Woods here? Big E and Kofi dont really have anything to do with UUDD, so if he wants extra money for that, but they have some pact about contracts, I could see WWE balking at the idea of paying them extra when they aren't a big part of it - and if Woods is looking to get more for him after Kofi did that, could this end up causing a rift in their friendship? Money rarely brings people together.

If they didn't agree with it then they would have kept doing episodes with just Kofi, Big E and maybe Dan their editor since he chimes in every once in a while. Kofi's a regular guest on UUDD too and Big E pops in sometimes, mostly more recently. Some people don't care about the money aspect which is why Kofi even offered to lower his pay so they could get paid more. Even on their podcast they said it's not about the money for them.

Considering they also are counting the Miz's Dancing With the Stars appearance as part of his downside, they aren't making things easy.

The best thing about all this, really, is that Dan Ryckert is under WWE contract being paid to play Mario Party with various people on a weekly basis. The cost is that he still has to edit Ryan Satin podcasts but not every job is perfect.

Yeah while he's able to speak to wrestlers and play the games he loves, he has to take an L sometime and Ryan Satin well, that's a super L lol.

So pretty f***ed up that WWE are counting his UUDD money and his G4 money against his downside. Contract time is gonna be interesting for Xavier

I hope everyone who said the streaming rules and twitch ownership was just about protecting IP and not a horrific overreach of greed are painting their faces white and putting on big red noses right now because I'm coming to your homes to give those noses a big ol' honk.

Anyone who immediately goes the "It's business" route with WWE anymore feels like they're doing the same thing. I don't know how or why you'd give them any benefit of the doubt at this point...

Come to think of it, remember when Stacy Keibler went on Dancing With the Stars, found out from the other celebrities what a crappy deal WWE offered people and got the hell out of there?

Not really, because it is still just IP. UUDD is WWE IP - turns out they own it. When Miz was on DWTS he was on as The Miz - WWE IP - not under his real name. The G4 stuff seems to be a deal between WWE and Comcast - a corporate deal to use WWE's IP as presenters for various shows. I still want to see someone who is using their real name, not an IP name, challenge WWE in court to see under what clause WWE feel they can stop anyone doing things under their real name (I'm still assuming it's an imaging rights thing, but I'd genuinely interested to see how far that could be bent before WWE would be told no, that isnt right), but when it pertains to names and deals done with and by WWE and using WWE IP, rightly or wrongly (and people are free to argue either way about the morals behind it but I'm not having a moral discussion, I'm purely interested in the legal rights behind what they are doing and how they are doing it rather than if it's right they should or can as I think most people would agree it isn't, but the fact they are is what interests me - I want to know how) that would come under that WWE Corporate shield as so WWE can use you as they see fit if your contract says they can.
