I'm going to throw out Buh Buh Ray Dudley as an option. RVD is mentioned by name, so I don't think its him. No matter how good a red herring it may be to simply imply that you're mentioning the name of someone else, that doesn't seem like RVD's style. Meanwhile, the Dudleys are nowhere to be found on the card. Plus, reading this back in the Bully Ray voice fits perfectly. I see complaining about sub-par talent, playing the merch card, and not viewing Heat as part of the real card as something out of his playbook. Even if Heat is a different show, its filmed in front of the same crowd, so its ultimately contributing to the same show.

Not that it means much either way, but Storm's written about Albert before, saying that he really liked working with him.

RVD seems likely because he mentioned merch sales, and I don't think they were selling much Test, Storm, or Regal stuff for him to have much of a case against Albert. Agreed, not to mention that Storm is very respectful of Albert and would be very unlikely to talk shit about him, and also wouldn't call him Matt, as he doesn't generally use non-worked names for wrestlers outside of specific circumstances.

My theory is that it's the long-suffering husband of Minnie the Moocher.

after looking at the roster that was left off the card and taking into account how much merch this person claims to have sold, my finger can only point at

Part of me feels like it could be Jeff, but judging by the personality he has shown through out the years. I don't think he would be upset enough to write shit on the Internet. He always has come across as the dude what's asked of him guy.

It has to have been one of the ECW guys as Joey Styles was involved with 1wrestling.com, if I remember correctly. Reading the column, RVD's fingerprints are all over it, he has dumped on co-workers from a great height on the internet since then, vastly overstated his value to the company he works for and has shown to have thin skin when it comes to criticism so would totally quit in response to criticism in other columns.

I'm more intrigued to know who MetsFan4Ever was. Or was that just some kid with amazingly accurate predictions?

My guess is Scotty 2 Hotty. He sold quite a bit of merch.

He and Scherer are close from ECW and it doesn't fit RVD to hide like this. Plus the Dudleys were coming off the two major triple threats at Mania and another tag title match at 18 so to be left off this card, yeah this just seems like something Bubba would do.

A fragment of Dave Scherer's imagination. Much like his complaints about Google "illegally" labeling PWSpyware as dangerous to visit.

I mean was anything said there that couldn't have been said by anyone on this forum ranting about the WWE and still come off sounding like we're insiders?

I'm thinking it's Test. I don't think Jeff would care. Lance is too much of a professional. RVD hasn't been shy about expressing his opinions so I can't see him using a nom de plume.
