Completely retire? No. Move to part time deals and start transitioning them into other roles within the company (trainer, announcer, manager, etc)? Yes.

I don't believe I have the power unless SNAP! tells me so.

There's only one old bastard that I know I would retire. Too bad he's got more power than I do.

Definitely yes. Kick out the old guys, stubbornly commit to the new guys, and set fire to the bridge behind you. That seemed to work once before with some measure of success. This guy gets it

I prefer to repackage guys or just use them smarter than WWE does.

No- but use them to put people over as much as possible.

It's not really about the who, it's about the why. Everyone could ideally be used in fresh, interesting ways that build the program's overall quality. They're just not. So I wouldn't retire them all, I would use them better.

From now on, FAN should auto-correct all use of the word "power" into "POWAH!" as a well deserved show of respect to Big E.

Mark Henry, definitely. Kane, maybe. Big Show, I would have a hard time pulling the trigger on.
Cases like Big Show are tough because he's one of the best big man performers of all time, and can still churn out very good matches, but his character has been treated like someone bending a metal wire back and forth until it breaks. There's just no suspension of disbelief anymore that can tell you that this anything but a performer doing what the script tells him to do. It sucks to have to get rid of a guy who still has something to contribute just because his credibility has been so damaged beyond his own control. Kane too is at least really good in a storyline role, but again how the f*** did we get to where we are now with him? Corporate Kane happened out of nowhere and was such an awful transition that he might as well be a completely different person, his matches aren't all that good so maybe this is a great spot for him to be in but it's so poorly explained, and his perceived importance according to the booking is so outside of what his talent at this age justifies that he's hard to invest in, when his role would be much more productive in the hands of a younger monster wrestler.

Nope. While I'd happily ditch Big Show, Kane, Mark Henry and other useless big old guys.
Taker, Rock, Sting, Triple H and other part timers could still bring a lot to the table.

I prefer to repackage guys or just use them smarter than WWE does. Pretty much this. So, you've got Brock, Triple H, Undertaker, Kane, Big Show, occasionally RVD and Jericho. Let's wheel them all out at Mania! No, that's f***ing stupid. Because then people watch Mania and then piss off the rest of the year. What you do is use a couple of them from the Rumble onwards to blow off their feud at Mania, then keep one of them around overlapping into the next few months, while returning one of the other ones - and you keep doing that through the year but always spicing up who you bring back. At this point, Brock is the biggest draw and Taker is synonymous with Mania, so if I have to keep Taker, you have those two have a January-March/April run. You also have someone like Jericho, who is more willing to work a longer schedule, return the night after Mania, which is one of the biggest shows of the year now. Then Kane or Big Show shows up in late spring/early summer, ideally as a monster heel to wreck some people and challenge the heavyweight champion. Then in the creativity drought that normally forms the back quarter of the year, you bring back guys like RVD and Jericho who are workhorses and will spice up a Survivor Series team - I mean, why don't they do that anyway? We have surprise Rumble returns once in a while. f*** it, wheel out someone like Piper or Steamboat to join a Survivor Series team if you fancy it. The issue isn't so much having old guys around, it's: 1. Having some old guys around all the time 2. Having some old guys only around at Mania Old guys have value that they can contribute. It's just that WWE doesn't know how to make that work.

I don't count Brock as one of the old guys ^ Nor would I, but because of his part-time schedule I'd say he fits the remit. And honestly, talents like Brock Lesnar are so precious that you should only stop using them when they want to stop.

Still though, if I was kicking Show, Kane, Taker, Henry, HHH, Sting and others out of the door, I'm keeping Lesnar.

You and I are biased though - remember that Brock is your guy, and he's second on my all-time list after Mick.
