Eh, for the most part I liked Colin. He was abrasive, but that was his deal. For a person that called wrestling fans "Booger Eaters" for 10+ years and attacked people who defended Eddie Guerrero despite him having zero facts about everything that had happened, I can easily say I haven't a sympathetic bone in my body for this stooge. Glad I'll never have to hear his voice again.

Getting rid of Olbermann and Cowherd? Good shit, ESPN. KO was great. Anyone else in sport stand up against a terrible NFL commissioner and domestic violence? Simmons, for one. Numerous other media personalities did too. Olbermann's just a douche.

When they finally get rid of Stephen A. Smith then I will rejoice Stephen A. Smith is what would happen if Abraham Washington drank ten Red Bulls in one sitting. He's that annoying. And yes, Olbermann is love.

As much as of a prick as he was, his football show early Sunday mornings during the season on ESPN2 was a lot of fun.

I think because of how expensive sports rights coverage is ESPN essentially will cut out a lot of costly big name personalities realizing most people just care about the sports and could care less who the pundits or sportcasters are. I assume now as soon as one of their catchphrase clones on Sportscenter gets any bit of popularity they will part ways and replace them with a cheaper clone at the factory.

Keith Olbermann was one of the few bastions of a lost era of ESPN that reported on sports, not the tabloid celebrity-worship of a few elite athletes. Like, I love Jeter, but his monologue criticizing his retirement hoopla was pretty dead-on.

And as strange as it sounds, Skip Bayless ripped the NFL for only suspending Ray Rice 2 games. He was saying it should have been 8 games at the very least. So yeah, Skip Bayless actually was a voice of reason during that entire thing.

The problem with ESPN is not the on air talent necessarily, it's their TMZ style of TV and obsession with the NFL. Until that changes, it's moving deck chairs more than anything else.
Someone mentioned Stephen A. Smith, and he is the embodiment of what I hate about ESPN. Go to YouTube and look up the shows where First Take discussed Ryan Braun and then the shows where they discussed the Peterson and Rice situations. If you just listened to the tone of voice, you would think Braun beat his kid/wife and the NFL players took PED's. The level of vitriol directed at Braun for lying about taking a banned substance versus the almost sympathetic tone they took with Peterson (not just Smith but ESPN in general) was disgusting and another example of how they bend over backwards for the NFL.
ESPN is more of an issue than the talent, although Cowherd was definitely a jackass.

They are the TNA of the sports news world where they hire anybody that was over at ESPN. Also, don't they have, like, 50 people hosting America's Postgame Show at the same time? I don't have to put up with it, even if he's still just a radio guy. My Fox Sports Radio affiliate actually syndicates NBC Sports Radio programming like the Dan Patrick Show.

So is it safe for me to listen to my ESPN radio affiliate between 10-12 yet?
