I could happily never see another 7ft unstoppable monster again. Problem it's almost always the same.. Come in, squash jobbers for awhile, go on an unbeaten run, challenge champion for title, lose to champion, challenge again with special match stipulations, lose again.... Face turn comedy dancing gimmick. Thanks but no thanks. This is one thing you gotta give the Local Men props for. Being good enough to last as long as they have (even if they've been around too long).

Honestly, the only monster needed is Brock Luke Harper could also be an amazing Monster Heel who is big and can move around in the ring but the WWE are morons and wont use him... this. I don't see why he couldn't have Show spot in the authority. You can say he wouldn't fit the mold the authority wants but that's the point. They are hypocrites looking to fulfill their own agenda. Easy motivation: Wyatt left him stranded and destitute, now Harper needs to make money to keep from sinking.

Lesnar has set the bar so so high for what a monster heel can do I really doubt that somebody is going to match it or even top it for some time. They could have built up and used Rusev properly and he eventually would have been that guy but he'll most likely be dancing with R-Truth in the coming months.

Goldberg wasn't a heel but he was an awesome monster in WCW. He just brought the intensity even if he wasn't seven feet tall. Big Show when he first showed up in WCW was actually really impressive.
As for nowadays, without an official group of jobbers I'm not sure a monster heel works anymore.

Just hit me that it's been awhile since anyone's used the term "hoss."

Just hit me that it's been awhile since anyone's used the term "hoss." Well, it did feel more like something J.R would say than anyone in the current announce teams

Wrestling has moved beyond that now. Fans expect smaller, faster, more agile workers rather than barely mobile freaks.

WWE already has a monster heel.
They just don't wanna use him. They just wanna use the monster heels that have long overstayed their welcome, instead.

Monster Heels have been replaced by Local Men.
They now wear slacks, use words like "fiduciary" and cry because they invested in strip malls.
