I was just watching the Monday night wars and was realizing how much the competition led to some of the best wrestling around. What if to start that back up Vince challenged HHH to a new war NXT vs WWE both on mon nights each company can pick three from the other or there is a draft and they can have trades after that or a scenario where they have say have Rollins and reigns join nxt say there is a third man and then the third is a heel turning cena new n.w.o on nxt then freeing up space for Ambrose as the new Austin can anyone see something like this happening or have any other ideas that could work for two shows on Monday nights to get the best out of these guys do you think WWE has become complacent without competition and that is a problem that we are seeing today or is it just late and I can't sleep

... because it's not competition when it's the same company?

It would be a disaster as more people would still watch Raw instead.

Meh, I much prefer the current rivalry of Monday Night Raw vs. reruns of Monday Night War.

... because it's not competition when it's the same company? True but I remember seeing something with heyman saying during the brand split when he was on smack down that the competition to beat raws ratings was what drove one of the best periods smack down ever had same company plenty of competition with different guys for each show doing different things trying to one up each other not just on the show that there against but also against the guys on the same show I think wrestling in general is really hurting from.lack of competition and I think certain wrestlers would really shine when backed into a corner

Furthermore, Smackdown and Raw were never on the same day... because you would be hurting your own company for the sake of fake competition.

Furthermore, Smackdown and Raw were never on the same day... because you would be hurting your own company for the sake of fake competition. I don't know what you would want to call it but I feel that if they ran on the same day going against each other the way wcw and wwf did it would bring even more fans in and would make them want to work even harder at being number one thus making things more creative and less predictable there were people when nitro first started saying how they shouldn't go on Mon nights because it would just hurt the business overall and the fans that they had would be split making it less for each company instead of going on a different night but what really happened was they created even more fans so instead of splitting say a 3.0 they both were getting ratings of about 3 because of the one upping from both.companies now if you owned both companies and could get both of the shows a 3 that would be great and a big way that could happen would be to say let hhh do exactly what he wants give him his own show head to head with raw see if Vince can keep up with the times cause as of right now it feels like mid nineties and its getting stale and needs a change and I think if there was another show pushing the envelope attracting new viewers doing things differently we could see a change again in WWE and go back to a more real type of character going back to a little more adult letting these guys really go for it and right now without any competition they are seemingly just going through the motions each week he will be good he will be bad he will cheat and win he will defeat the odds and win something needs to get shaken up and this is just one idea could be dumb but what it comes down too is I think they need competition to try new things and so what if its the same company that owns both the wrestlers would still want to compete against each other to prove which brand could be better it wouldn't be as great of competition as billionaire Ted but don't you think he would want to beat his son in law dont you think he would be so driven to.win cause he is so.competitive

USA Network would probably be pretty pissed off.

Remember all those times the NXT specials kicked ass just a day or two before a regular WWE PPV? Everyone said the WWE guys were jealous and would be turning things up to an 11 to make their show just as good. Didn't happen.

So WWE can compete with WWE? AND in a time where ratings are slipping fast?

I always thought a one time Raw V Smackdown event could have been interesting during the brand extension era

I always thought a one time Raw V Smackdown event could have been interesting during the brand extension era It would be as if the brands would be fighting for some sort of superiority they could gloat over. The winning brand would have bragging rights, if you will.

Seriously, do some people hate WWE so much that they've convinced themselves that NXT is not part of it so they can watch it and not feel like a hypocrite?
