This was a four hour show. I was into the two main events because I was curious to see what was going to happen.
I guess they used this match to turn Taker heel for.........STING? and what about the U.S title? Does Seth defend both at NOC? Will Cena LOLwin again?
tune in tomorrow!

Exactly. This is the most interesting thing they've done with Taker in a long time. I like it, as even the Undertaker is getting corrupted by an obsession with the streak. Like this story that's been going since like Wrestlemania 25 actually has a theme. Yeah, this match ties into the HBK/Taker II and HHH/Taker III with that whole "one last act of defiance" bit with slowly crawling up the opponent's body practically begging to make them put them down with enough force to just end their career. This one however Taker is saying, no, not just yet. It's a real interesting bit of story that fits into a really long narrative of obsession vs knowing it's practically all over. I'm loving it.

Find me 10 casuals who have been watching only Raw since 2009 that can think of this.

UT apparently stumbled onto his knees after exiting to the ramp when the PPV went off the air. Injury, or just selling?

Wow, people actually thought Takeover blew this away? I mean Takeover had one amazing match and maybe a couple of good ones, IMO. Summerslam, while nothing on the level of Sasha/Bayley, had far more matches worth seeing that Takeover. Different strokes I guess.

Someone smarter than me explain what in the blue f*** just happened. The WWE doesn't want to make one guy look weaker than the other in a legitimate defeat, so they invoked f***ery and made both guys look weak instead.

Great action all night. I didn't really like the John Stewart thing or the weird main event finish. However, the matches for those moments were still great.
The crowd was really lively.
I still hate going to Brooklyn, though, and I think I'm going to never go again.

From " Which Show Will Be Better Received " thread, Takeover because it's NXT.

Well, my internet cut out right before Taker/Brock started, and now after seeing the results, I'm glad F*** you WWE, way to ruin what was easily your best built up star in years... for a dude that's over 50...
A dude he's obviously going to beat and very possibly retire that even more people will want to see thanks to those results. Yeah, such wasted money.....

I guess the story is interesting enough, my internet cut out before the main event so I missed the whole thing
While I really don't like Taker winning, I guess I can concede that it was the biggest buttf*** ending in the world that cost Brock his victory
So its not really the end result that gets me, it's the fact that the ending sucked to get it there, a clusterf*** of bad booking because it didn't feel like they thought it through enough... yeesh...

Once they showed the finish I thought it was a great ending to the match that will make their next match pretty damn epic. Would be a great retirement match in front of a Wrestlemania crowd.

I posted this in the Takeover thread but figured more people will see it here now:
The main roster is so over exposed.
The main roster has 5 to 7 hours of TV every week and a PPV usually every 4 weeks-ish.
NXT has 1 hour a week and a 'PPV' about every 8 to 12 weeks. There's more chance to build feuds, focus on different characters without anyone getting stale.
There's still a big issue with booking on the main roster, especially with the women but I think the major issue is just way way way too much content.

Good review. I like how you get to the point. Better than most wrestling "journalist.

It was a knee jerk reaction, I didn't see the match and only saw the result. That being said the result doesn't bug me as much with the reasoning, but the ending sounded all different kinds of stupidly executed.

There's still a big issue with booking on the main roster, especially with the women but I think the major issue is just way way way too much content. Watching NXT I was also thinking that. With the main roster by the time the PPV comes around we've already see the guys face off numerous times. With NXT many times the only time they face off physically is at the Special. The matches feel like big events and the spacing between interaction and being physical is just perfect. With WWE I think it would be good to use guys like Ryder more to keep the main guys from interacting. That and simplify the storylines to make them easier to follow and easier to get invested in. Diva's revolution is so easy to book. just say that the NXT girls have already proven everything in NXT and now want to prove they are the best anywhere. Have them win matches and move up the card. Have the announcers how a loss could destroy their hope at getting a title. Have Nikki talk about how she is the best until someone takes the title off her and let her be cocky about it. Eventually one of the NXT girls rises up and takes it. Simple booking that basically writes itself.

Man, all this doomsaying is going to look REALLY silly if Rollins actually wins. It kind of does, but not as much as I expected.
