Wow, people actually thought Takeover blew this away? I mean Takeover had one amazing match and maybe a couple of good ones, IMO. Summerslam, while nothing on the level of Sasha/Bayley, had far more matches worth seeing that Takeover. Different strokes I guess. Takeover had at least one big thing on this - it was half the length. I thought SummerSlam was decent, but between nothing on it coming close to the Bayley / Sasha match and the length, I'd call Takeover the far superior show any day.

Man, all this doomsaying is going to look REALLY silly if Rollins actually wins. It kind of does, but not as much as I expected. Everyone was expecting someone to turn heel between Roman and Ambrose; nobody turns, and they won, too. Everyone expected Cena to win; He didn't, thanks to a fake newsman-turned-wrestling host. Expectations can be funny.

Yeah, 4 hours was killer and I can see that putting people off. I get why they do so much filler at WM, the poor crowd was probably hurting as well.

Being there live was a blast, despite the crappy booking. Cena/Rollins straight up murdered the crowd.

I honestly didn't remotely expect Cena to win (though I was hoping), but I figured there'd be a non-finish.

I'm so glad there's other things that bring me back to this forum that I enjoy. Because people being OK with all this... It wasn't a bad show by any means. The fatal fourway tag match was fantastic, Amell did a good job and the match didn't get crapped on by the crowd, Sheamus with the 2 Brogues was nice (rest of the match I don't know, but the ending was good), Becky got the win, Cena vs Rollins was awesome, and Brock vs Taker before the ending was awesome. I didn't like Brock losing, but Taker tapping out before that and going full heel to win, softens the blow.

Can someone please tell me what's happening?! My stream died before the match Lesnar had Taker in a kimura, Lesnar's shoulders went down to the mat so the ref started counting a pin. As he started, Taker tapped out on the other side of his body where the ref couldn't see. The timekeeper rang the bell because of Undertaker's tapping but the ref had no idea why. During the confusion, Taker low blowed Lesnar and put him in Hell's Gate where Lesnar passed out. I gotcha. Normally the timekeeper isn't supposed to ring the bell unless the ref calls for it. Didn't watch Summerslam tonight, but I actually like that ending. Brock still looks strong in the end and win or lose, that's all I want when it comes to Lesnar.

The big issue outside of that is that you couldn't actually see the tapout and there's no possible way the timekeeper could have either; it was only visible on replays which just made the whole thing really baffling.

Being there live was a blast, despite the crappy booking. Cena/Rollins straight up murdered the crowd. I think that's the reason they put it on so early. Give the crowd time to gather themselves for Taker/Brock. I thought at first it was a Cena injury thing but he looked fine out there.

From now on we shall refer to the guy formerly know as "The Undertaker" as "The Dickpuncher". Much creepier gimmick.

He lost the match clean, and hit Brock low to win. That's full on heel mode. sometimes you gotta play dirty to defeat a Beast i don't see it as a heel move If you can't beat a guy fairly, lose clean but use a crappy referee to cheat to win, especially if after all that, you STILL can't beat him and he defiantly fights to the end, you're a heel. If they actually sell this as "Taker's past it and has to resort to these tactics" I'm fine, if it's "An indecisive end to a clash between 2 goliaths" then I'm calling it crap.

Yeah, 4 hours was killer and I can see that putting people off. I get why they do so much filler at WM, the poor crowd was probably hurting as well. Thing is, a lot of the crowd were the same people who were there the night before, you can even pick out some of the same people when you watch it, but one event gripped them, the other just didn't. Maybe it was burnout or something, but then even after Sasha/Bayley, by the end of Balor/Owens they were into it, so they wanted to be entertained. Personally, I saw a lot of just decent matches, where every match except Corbin/Joe showed something special before. This ties into other peoples' points and is something I've said before. They need to make PPVs special, where the real action happens. In the 80s, you had Jobber matches, you want to see the stars, the REAL matches, you pay for house shows or PPV. In the Attitude era, you had about 15 minutes of wrestling in a 2 hour show. Again, if you want to see the REAL wrestling that matters, you have to pay. What makes this special besides length? I wouldn't be surprised if Cesaro and Owens went out on RAW and had a better match, same with almost every other match, there's no point to just having a big event the same as the rest.

Was there a preshow match? I didn't look into it but I never hear about one so I assumed they did nothing for the crowd during the preshow
