Reigns can continue being booked like this for the next two years of winning some matches and losing the big matches while improving steadily in the ring and Ambrose and Rollins being multiple time WWE Champions and people will complain he's being overpushed and shoved down our throats when he gets a big push again. The Daniel Bryan stuff kinda killed him for me. I say this a lot, but I wanna like Reigns, but WWE isn't letting me

I don't think he will be. He's not getting a super push anymore, and in fact, a bunch of former Reigns detractors including myself were annoyed when he didn't win Money in the Bank.

If the fans don't want it, they don't want it. I personally don't want it, but if Reigns is getting big universal cheers then I can't really argue. That isn't the case though.

WWE needs to decide what they want to do with Reigns. I've said for months he needs a heel turn since he's a natural guy to join The Authority. Good grief, the actual build to WM was something to the effect of saying Reigns was being favored by WWE management.
Either that or WWE just needs to pull the trigger on Reigns and give him the title without this constant "Will they push him or not?" crap. It's obvious that the more you let fans think about a Reigns push, the less they want it. So just give him the belt. Do it on a house show if need be, or a Network televised house show deal like the Japan show.

Yeah, I don't get this mentality that people wont give him a chance. He's being booked logically now because although he's over, he's not over enough to run with the ball. He gets the live crowds to go apeshit for him again and I'll say he deserves it. The "poor little Reigns" mentality is silly. Come on now.

I think a heel run is the only way he'll ever get back to the point where the fans are clamoring for him to be the man. Get him "cool heel" over and flip him face at the right time. I don't even know that it would work, but steady babyface Reigns seems to have a ceiling.

I'm guessing he's teaming with Ambrose vs Wyatt and Harper so should be fine. If they go and try to turn Ambrose heel during the match that will backfire bigtime though.

He'll get a pop when the music hits and then the boos will be heard soon after. It will be split.
Last time Reigns was in Brooklyn was via satellite. I was there and everyone looked so confused and annoyed at how short his promo was.

I like how the smarks over estimate their own importance. He will shrug off these little new-yorkers' boos like nothing happened.

To be fair, not all New York crowds are the same.
Long Island - they'd eat him alive for sure.
Manhattan - Madison Square Garden epicenter, might be split, but would have an alright chance at emerging OK.
Brooklyn - Much more families. TLC 2012 is a good indicator of how they are. So long as the next month isn't an overkill of Roman, he should be alright.

I don't even know that it would work, but steady babyface Reigns seems to have a ceiling. Wasn't that the point of the Shield? It was. They just f***ed it up by being too heavy-handed, screwing with his characterization, and not pulling the trigger on guys like Bryan, Ambrose, and Ziggler who had so much crowd support. WWE has created this environment continuing to push John Cena as the top face despite getting booed so heavily, so they're going to have to live with it and work around it.

Probably not.. He hasn't gotten booed in Months now. It's not the cool thing to do anymore. You didn't hear the boos at Battleground? And especially at Money in the Bank? Also I like that if you boo him consistently, you're not giving him a chance. If you stop booing him, you were just trying to be cool before. Can't win.

No he won't.
He was cheered in Chicago. I dont think he'll ever be majorly booed again.

The 'anyone but Roman' storyline must be a test for live crowds to see if they support Bray's stance or want to give DivasReigns a chance at the top of the mountain. It might be a moment like mah boi D-Bryan to have Roman finally overcome the odds of a bunch of haters on the WWE roster who just want to hold him back from ever winning another high-profile PPV match. So far the Wyatt's have ruined two in a row for mah boi R-Reigns, the third time should get some sympathy for him especially if him getting screwed ends up screwing over Dean Ambrose in the process should they tag against the Wyatts.

Are people in here seriously using a match with Big Show as a cover for Reigns won't get booed hard in New York?
Are you people really serious?
Big Show could get Brett Favre cheered in Chicago at this point.

Reigns needs to go heel, become a cool heel and gradually get more popular and boom he'll be that dude. That's all the company needs to do and he'll get over that way. It's not hard to understand. Worked for Triple H, worked for Austin, worked for Rock, worked for Cena, worked for CM Punk, worked for Bryan, works for damn near everyone if they do it right. It's just that easy. Just turn him heel and get it over with and he's good to go. The quicker they do it the quicker we'll get a guy who they'll actually push to replace Cena that the fans accept.

As someone who likes Reigns and has been trying to go to SummerSlam, I'll say this. Reigns is going to get a horrible reaction at SummerSlam, but not entirely because its New York. SummerSlam tickets were essentially not available to the general public. They technically were but with some caveats. The majority of the tickets were sold via presales on Ticketmaster that most people did not know about, you could only buy 2 tickets maximum, and sold out almost immediately. No casual fan will have gotten a ticket via this. The rest of the tickets sold out in under a second the day they came out due to there be so little left (as well as bots I'm assuming). So most tickets either ended up in the hands of the really hardcore fans OR on second hand markets like StubHub. The tickets on StubHub are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. Most tickets are being put up for 3 times the value and have not gone down a dime since tickets went on sale. No casual fan is going to spend three hundred, nor family is going to spend thousands of dollars to sit in the nosebleeds to watch SummerSlam. Now you may think that I'm just assuming things, but to my understanding this is exactly what happened with the Royal Rumble tickets. Considering how that crowd was that night, I have no doubt that SummerSlam will be similar. It's unfortunate too because Reigns has definitely been winning people over, but there are still some parts of the country that will refuse to accept him out of principle. I think he COULD win over New York, but given the actual landscape of WHO will be at the show, it won't happen at SummerSlam. I guess will see what happens re: Reigns, but I still can't believe general sale had no tickets, and I spent $300 on 2 seats for this show. From now on I'm presale presale presale.

I don't even see why there is Reigns hate. He isn't even being pushed down our throats. Actually, he kinda loses and chokes a lot now. What did the poor guy even do to continue to get booed?
