"Will there be fanous celebrities on your show as well?" "Yeah! Do you know any of them?"
Well, I'm sold.

That looks very entertaining and I eagerly await it. The only thing I'm not too fond of is them doing another "will they?/won't they?" thing with Kermit and Piggy. Seriously, it's been 40 years, that gimmick is worn out.
Ok, so I'll bite, anybody know who the obscure Muppet was?
Also, according to the credits Bill Barretta was voicing Rowlf. Is he the guy who normally voices him? Because the voice just off for some reason.
Edit: Ok, apparently the obscure Muppet was Chip, a character from The Jim Henson Hour. Should've probably recognized that from his design.

The Muppets should have come back to Television back in the Y2K's. This was way overdue but I'm glad its finally happening. With all the crazy celebrities we have nowadays, boy are they needed now.

I've recently gotten back into the Muppets after a long lull, so I'm really looking forward to this. But like someone said earlier, Rowlf's voice doesn't sound right. It's not gruff enough.

That was pretty good. I actually chortled at a few of the jokes and I do feel like the TV format fits the Muppets better than films every so often.
Rowlf was one of Jim Henson's Muppets, so that's one reason, but to be honest, I don't remember who's been voicing him in the interim either.

Rowlf was retired for a looooooong time, as he was considered Jim's signature muppet. I don't think he even had a speaking part until the 2011 movie. Same thing with Scooter, who was retired out of respect for Richard Hunt until 2011.

I still haven't gotten to see the two recent movies, but that's what I thought, that they'd more or less retired him after Jim Henson's passing for a very long time. I guess that's why I wasn't surprised when he sounded pretty much completely different. Wonder if that's the surgery they alluded to.
