Look. You can think whatever you want about Hogan the person, but without Hogan the wrestler there might not be a WWE today. He didn't kill anyone, he doesn't deserve to be Benoit'ed. Should he apologize? Of course. Should he be reprimanded? Sure, but he is the most famous wrestler of all time. You'll never be able to erase him. Everyone makes mistakes..hopefully he can learn from this. So cause he wrassle good, we should make excuses and talk about how we're big fans? It works for CM Punk. I kid. I kid.

I should really clarify the fact that I don't respect Hogan at all and agree with him being fired. He's a celebrity so his private conversation, even though speaking freely, is fair game if made public and that effects how the WWE image is treated. But I think he is perfectly allowed to make as many racist jokes about Black basketball players as he wants. There is racism in terms of Hogan's comments or Kramer from Seinfeld melting down during his stand-up comedy routine, and then there is true ugly racism as in blacks being lynched for moving into a 'white' neighborhood or a dad threatening to shoot a black guy with a shotgun for datingbhis white daughter. Hogan never intended his comments to become public. Yes he said it in private and perhaps honestly has a problem seeing Blacks as 'equal', but him checking himself, making a full apology for his remarks and subsequently being ostracized in the media for it are all signs that TODAY'S SOCIETY as a whole has moved far far past the 'dark history' everyone keeps bringing up when the n***** discussion always comes up. My point is and always will be: using n**** in regular, everyday speech is not ignoring the past. Banning the word and making a public spectacle of it is ignoring the progression past it. Banning the Confederate flag is ignoring the past and our progression past it. Censorship is the very act of ignoring the past, I'm just very confused how more people don't agree with that when as I've already said living in the South race boundaries do not exist because of our free use of both n**** and the C. flag. I can see many people will disagree with that stance so I'll just let this comment stand and speak for itself. New topic though-- how in the world was Hogan having a sextape out okay for years even though he was a family man role model hero?? "I live in the south and race boundaries don't exist" Bullshit. I live in GA and they absolutely f***ing do. And I'm a white person sitting here admitting that yes, white people in the south are absolutely still perfectly capable of being incredibly shitty to people of color in the south. Just because YOU haven't experienced it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If you're chill with being called that word by a white person, that's on you. Recognize though, that for a lot of people, it's still a HUGE problem, and an intense source of degradation. Your personal experience isn't relevant to the wider picture.

Hogan is never going to truly become a "non-person" in society, and it's good he's owned up to what he said. But as of now, his legacy is permanently scarred. This is a bigger, more important issue than slamming Andre or any of the money he made for an entertainment industry.

What a terrible thing to wake up too. The double edged sword of social media strikes again. This has nothing to do with social media though... Out cries and out rage have existed before social media. Michael Keaton being casted for Batman got a bigger outcry than Heath Ledger being casted as The Joker. It's just easier to express rage now. But we're not all raging because of social media.

"n****s in Paris" won a grammy on national television...I just don't get people. The major caveat here being that Jay Z and Kanye are both black. Hogan is not. Now, I'm of the thought that no-one should say it really, but if anyone should, it's black people, which again, Hogan is not one of.

HOW DEEP THE HOGAN-WWE SITUATION IS GOING by Mike Johnson @ 12:10 PM on 7/24/2015
WWE informed just about every licensee and partner that they work with that all references to Hulk Hogan, all images of Hogan and all current and planned licensing projects that might involve Hulk Hogan products should be dropped immediately.
I have heard that from action figures to streaming music, anything Hulk Hogan-related under WWE's umbrella has been terminated and/or in the process of being pulled down.
WWE, wisely, wants no connection to Hogan or the coverage his situation is likely about to get within the mainstream media over the next several days.

Did I mention that Hulk Hogan should be given a free pass and this is all society's fault? I never got the whole "It's all just oversensitivity, everything's fine" thing. If the norm of handling horrible things that weren't outright illegal was just chilling out and not showing any sensitivity, I think that social progress would be set back to some alarming times.

From what I can remember,2008 was a really dark time in the Hulksters life. He was a financial wreck, suicidal, and was just majorly screwed over by his wife in the divorce. I think Nick was having his issues too.
This was 7 years ago, and he issued an immediate apology. I dont think this is what Terry Bollea is as man. He's worked with African Americans in the business for decades and not once did we ever hear anything about him being a racist.
It's time to forgive and forget and start loving the Hulkster again...brother!

I seriously think that Hulk's obsession with Brooke is because she's the closest he can get to having heterosexual sex with himself, brother.

You might not like it, but that's the standard. I remember many, many years ago, might have been the late-90's or early-00's, BET had a special about the N-Word. They asked a rapper what his thoughts were on using the word. That rapper? Fat Joe. And no one questioned it. I know this has nothing to do with Hulk, but that always bothered me.

In times like this I wish people wouldn't look past the blatant surveillance issue here over the behavior of the subject being essentially spied on. I know it's gonna sound like I'm making excuses but I would say this about any similar circumstance. If Hulk Hogan is racist, he's doing what a "good" racist ought to be doing and keeping it to himself. No one should feel entitled to this information. Oh, he should win the lawsuit, no doubt, but that doesn't excuse anything.

Ringside Collectibles still has the American Made Hogan figure up, along with a 31 inch figure up for pre-order and some items up for pre-order with him on the box. Don't know how long that will last.

There's a wrestler beloved by children everywhere that doesn't use racial slurs on sex tapes. AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA!!! (i don't care if this has been posted already I'm not searching through 40 pages of posts) Bullcrap. That man is a clothing separatist and even admitted it on Total Divas.
